The liquid in the glass seemed to somehow burn the lining off his throat as he swallowed. Followed by an intense burn as the flavored acid hit his stomach. Ryan set the glass down and pushed it aside for the moment and waited for his eyes to stop watering. "Well let's see what the rest of your crew is all about." His voice all but a croak.

A few more taps on the data pad and the rest of her crew information began to scroll on the small screen. Nothing much of interest but the date of two of the crewmembers military retirement coincided with the date of her fathers death. James "Dusty" Graham and Lee Pontiff. A little more digging on the two reviled that they both served with the commodore for most of their time in the service.

"Just what are you doing with her?" Ryan asked the link. "I'll have to find that out."

Ryan thought for a few minutes about the crew of the Check Mate as he let the drink eat at his stomach lining and into his lower intestines for a second time. About half way through the drink he started to feel the effects of the alcohol and decided that thinking was over rated or impossible and just drink more. The sooner he got off this hellhole of a station the better off he'd be.

Several hours and just as many drinks later it was beginning to get difficult to refuse the advances of the waitress and anything else that may happen by to proposition for a few illicit services. Not that that would be a terrible thing to happen but most likely the effects would tend to last five to seven weeks longer than the hangover he was going to be experiencing. Again, tempting but not worth the extra effort to see the doctor, yada, yada, yada.

Ryan walked back to his small room at the plaza he still had a good buzz going but he needed to make a call or two before he would allow sleep to take him. When he coded the door locked behind him he reached inside his coat pocket and pulled out a communicator. Pressing a few buttons he put it to his ear, not planning on having any kink of extended conversation, just the facts. "We are a go, yea she took the job as I thought she would, no problem I'll be leaving this time tomorrow, yea sure I'll contact you once we reach Krontos." Ryan snapped the devise shut figuring he would get a return call so he tossed it haphazardly on the small desk where it hit a full cup and sent both to the floor. Shrugging at the new mess that he, at least, didn't have to clean up crossed the room and sat down on the edge of the bed.
