Ryan began typing on the note pad and the needed data began scrawling across the small screen until a tone told him the search was done. When he looked at the screen it went a bit fuzzy at the edges at that was the last he remembered.
Having slept later than he had anticipated, well that wasn't really true, but that sounded better that obliviously passed out. He felt rushed to get the last of the things done he had to do before heading off to Krontos. Still a bit disoriented from the night before Ryan checked his watch and just about fainted, he had twelve minutes to get to the Check Mate and being late was not something he liked from anyone, much less himself.
By the time he had managed to reach the airlock port he was out of breath and his headache was back with a vengeance. A skinny disheveled geek of a man greeted him as he passed through the transfer tube and escorted him to the quarters that Rook had given him for the voyage.
Utilitarian was something he had expected since the Check Mate was an out of service military ship and exactly what he needed for this trip, and so far the accommodations matched what he had thought.
The geek turned out to be the ships tech and weapons officer though it was painfully obvious he was not military. He showed Ryan how to code his door and then excused himself to report to the bridge and said that the captain would stop by after they got under way.
Looking around the sparse room, over a small gray desk with a terminal mounted on top was the bed rack on the left wall featured a vanity with four drawers, presumably for cloths and personal effects. To the left of the vanity a half sized doorway lead to a very confined toilet and shower.
Ryan dropped his bag next to the vanity and pulled the chair out from under the desk, which was on a swing arm that prevented the chair from flying about the room incase of combat.
The terminal had been upgraded so it would operate off the ships grid and offer the occupant some privacy.
Overall, very efficient, and about the size of the bathroom at the plaza suite he just left.
