Chapter 6: Liar

Lailah's  P.O.V

Ariel... That was her name, right? The way she was looking at Jaxen, I don't even know what the hell to think. 

I am sitting in my room. The girls are at school, and Logan is somewhere. The girls aren't happy with the news obviously and Logan has been distant... Skipping school is my new thing. i don't usually do that but under the circumstances I believe the faculty could surely understand. 

I am with my headphones on and all of the sudden I heard a knock. My instinct is inore the knock since I am all alone at home.. haha, home alone. 

The knock again. I stand up and open the front door. There he is, Jaxen standing right in front of me.

"Jaxen"

"Look, Lailah. I am so sorry"

I try to close the door but Jaxen put his foot so I couldn't completely close the door. 

"Jaxen, what do you want?"

"I want to explain, everything"

"No. No Jaxen! You had your time to explain, to help. But you just hang out with that girl... I can't even believe you. You know every single horrible thing that had happened to me but you still choose to make that mistake"

"I'm not lying to you. I never cheated on you. Aurelia is a friend, she-"

"i don't wanna hear it Jaxen"

"I know just let me finish... Aurelia is a friend, she helped me when I needed help. She is family, she is part of my bloodline"

"Bloodline? Look, Jaxen I'm not playing your stupid game. When you are ready to tell me the truth come find me"

I closed the door and went back to my room. What is he thinking?

 Jaxen's P.O.V

When she closed the door, I didn't know what to say. I just turned around and went to my pack. I got to the campground about 15minutes later. 

I stayed in the car and then all of the sudden Aurelia jumps inside the car.

"Oh my god Aurelia! You scared me"

"How was the talk with Lailah?"

I looked down and didn't respond.

"That well, huh? Well, to change the topic... Mitchell is looking for you. You've been digging to deep on the whole Carlisle case. People will start noticing, Jaxen. You are in big trouble."

"I wonder how he found out."

"Don't look at me. Mitchell has been talking to all of his people, he doesn't wants nothing to do with them."

"With the Carlisle's? He started this whole thing"

"You mean Lexi?"

"Shut up!" 

"I will... He's waiting for you and his temper has gotten worse..."

"Yeah. yeah... I'll deal with him"

"Good Luck, physcho"

Hey guys! I know I haven't written in a while. Final exams got me very bus. I know it's a short chapter, with a LOT of chit-chat but next few chapter hopefully will be uploaded much faster..
