Chapter 10: A Proper Reunion

Becca's POV

We're unable to get some sleep because the door flies open. Standing in the doorway is my twin sister, Bella. And it's actually her this time. My eyes begin to water as I run into her arms, catching her off guard.

"Bella," I say. "I haven't seen ya in donkey's years!"

"Donkey's years?" Bella asks.

"Our cousin, Jack, has been teachin' me how ta be Irish."

"Ah, I see. But what about every time I projected myself?"

"That doesn't count."

"Wait, hold up," Brianne says. "You two know each other?"

"Of course," I say, wiping a tear. "Bella is my twin. Ob an' Royal are also twins."

"WHAT?" Brianne, Ella and Maria yell.

"It's true," Bella says. "The man who kidnapped me had intended to take Becca as well, but apparently, Ob was too strong for him." Suddenly, there's a loud thud in the direction of the TV.

"Ow..." says a voice I recognize.

"Next time, Monika, let's not dive into a screen headfirst," says another familiar voice.  I flick the light switch on and see two girls piled on top of each other. Both are rubbing their foreheads.

"Monika?" I ask. "Alex? What are you doin' here?"

"Monika and I can phase in and out of the digital world," Alex explains. "It's how we were able to get here."

"Plus, we received word that Natsuki, Sayori and Yuri are here," Monika adds.

"Stall the ball a second, they're alive?' I ask. Alex nods.

"I sense something," Alex says uneasily.

"What is it?" Maria asks.

"Something's not right with Yuri. There's a dark presence here that has turned her into a darkened shadow of herself. And that dark presence is hiding in the digital world."

"There's only one person who can do that," Monika says solemnly.

"Who?" Jack asks.

"Ayano."

"She's alive?!" Alex asks. "I thought I destroyed her!"

"What are ya talkin' about?" I ask.

"I had set my original android body to self-destruct. It destroyed the corruption that was plaguing my laptop and was SUPPOSED to destroy Ayano."

"That f*ckin' gobsh*te!" I exclaim. "Nuair a bheidh mé déanta léi, is mian léi nach raibh sí ann riamh! Déanfaidh mé cinnte go n-íocfaidh sí as duine de mo chairde a éilliú!" (When I'm done with her, she's gonna wish she NEVER even existed! I will make sure she PAYS fer corruptin' one of my friends!")

"We're goin' ta need ta share with Bella everythin' we know," Ob says.

"Yer right," I agree.

"Whoa," Bella says.

"Yeah," Jack replies. "She does that when she's really mad. There's only one other person who makes her that furious."

"What kind of corruption?" Ella asks.

"Ayano has this thing where she can use these needle-tipped wires to render people immobile; the wires stay embedded in the person's spine because the needles are barbed," Alex explains. "My guess is she used one such wire to corrupt Yuri."

"Well, it's getting late," Brianne says. "We'd better get some rest."
