A touch of Soul (Getting Away, Pt2)

To new beginnings

John finishes his plate of food and carries it off to the kitchen to set it in the sink. His mother follows him to the kitchen as well, not finished with the conversation .

" you know john, I know I missed a lot in your life, not like I had much control over that situation , but I will say , most of your attributes are exactly like mine, and you was raised by your father, least I can say I chose the right person, and your dad married a very wonderful person and I cant take that from him , as I'm trying to say , even though you think you found your soulmate, time after time . Trust me you will know the exact right one. They say When two souls are meant to connect: location ,timing, and circumstances are all irrelevant. They suddenly become a magnet for one another and despite their effort to fight it. the universe somehow manipulates it all in their favor. and in that moment , when they finally give in, a new love is born. Dawn explains to john.

John replies after a sigh, " yes mom I know, but we had a connection, I know it sounds stupid and you might not believe me when I say it, but I could see through her eyes and I could see through hers, we even could astroproject to each other , its how he met actually.

Dawn looks at him and smiled, " well son, you happen to get that from me and your dad both, because we both have had that ability before. but think of it in this way .ok? you guys met because of your special abilities right? that seems a bit forced. Falling in love with someone you had no intensions of falling or, is the most beautiful kind of love. No forcing chemistry, or trying to save them. Just pure, raw connection on its own , is your soulmate. the best love is unexpected." " You don't just pick someone and cross your fingers it'll work out. You met them by fate and its an instant connection, an the chemistry share is way above your head. you just talk and notice the way their lips curve when they smile o the color of their eyes and all at once yo know you're either lucky or screwed" " and at that moment son , I'm guessing you never figured that out , because you had to spent time with her to figure it out . That was forcing it. so you got screwed, you loved her , yes. But she wasn't your soulmate, whether you think so or not. Trust me you will most definitely know".

I get what your saying mom, I'm still just a bit of mixed emotions , you know sad, mad and upset.

he starts to walk out the kitchen. Theirs a door bell ringing. And john walks slowly to the door in a mope kind of way , he grabs the door knob and vision come through his eyes. It's Bella sitting on her bed , notebook in hand still at her place writing in it, with the headliner saying " Dear future lover, who I've seen in my dreams many of times"

his visions ends, as he opens up the door.

The mail man hands him the letter, I am looking for a man named john, this has been in our office since like forever said on this date , to bring it here. He hands him the letter.

john rips it open quickly and makes his way to the couch and sits and pulls the letter out of the aged envelope.

I hope you find what you're looking for out there.

I hope you find the kind of happiness, that exist on your own terms. I hope you truly take time to figure out what moves you. what encourages your soul, what you deeply crave in life. and I hope you have the courage to chase that. I hope yo have the courage to believe that you are deserving of everything you desire, that you are capable and worthy of curating the kind of life for yourself that sparks something within you. you have a fire inside of you- I hope you never let convenience , or comfort, or the easiness of standing still pull it out. I hope you show the world what you can do with all of that passion inside of you.

I hope you find the kind of love that makes you a softer person. the kind of love that makes you want to be a better person. The kind of love, that believes in you and supports you . that stands by your side. I hope you find some who quickly becomes your favorite thing-- someone wo makes the fall less fearful, someone you cant help but choose every single day. I hope you find. someone who shows you just how deeply you can feel. just hope deeply you can love. I hope you find something real. because nothing is more beautiful than loving someone who builds you a home in their heart..

With tears in his eyes, john smiled , as he set the paper down to wipe his eyes as he is happy now with her final words, and thoughts.

john turns the paper over to write back to her to put with the other letter he had written before.

I'm sorry that you tried desperately to fix others, when your own hands were shaking,

I'm sorry that I didn't give you enough time to heal. that I let you seal the wounds of everyone else whilst you own were bleeding. I'm sorry that there were days when smiling hurt , but you forced yourself to laugh so that no one had to worry about you. I'm sorry that you gave all of your time and effort to people that didn't give the same amount back. I'm sorry that there were nights when you cried yourself to sleep and no one bothered to understand why. And I am so sorry that I did not love you, like you deserved to be loved.
