In Between Time | Seongjoong

It was 5 o'clock and Yeosang was already up. He gathered his belongings and quietly made his way back to his room. As soon as he walked in, Yeosang went straight for his suitcase where the other device was underneath the inner flap of his suitcase. He slipped the other device along with the book underneath it as well before he secured it and left to take a shower as if nothing happened.

Meanwhile, Seonghwa had just woken up himself with San clinging to his side.

"San," Seonghwa groaned.

"Wake up." He tapped the male making the other stir awake.

"5 more minutes Hwa," he mumbled as he turned over.

"You need to walk back to your room we have stuff to do today." Seonghwa lightly shook him.

"Fine." San rolled off the bed with tired eyes he grabbed his shoes and left.

"Hongjoo-"

"I'm awake," Hongjoong interrupted.

"I'm going to shower first I'll be quick." Seonghwa hurried to the bathroom.

Hongjoong rummaged through his bag for clothes, in the inner mesh pocket he noticed the keychain plush he had bought for Seonghwa. It seemed a little silly now that he stared at the dragon but he hoped Seonghwa would be amused receiving it. Hongjoong put the plush into his jacket pocket with the plan of giving t Seonghwa after his performance. He sat at the edge of the bed until it was his turn to shower.

"Quick reminder, when we get back make sure you have everything we'll be going home directly after breakfast tomorrow." Hongjoong nodded in response before disappearing into the bathroom.

Breakfast was pretty quiet. There was small chatter here and there but that was mainly the obvious morning people. The rest seemed to be still half asleep or heavily focused on eating. After breakfast everyone seemed a little more lively as they warmed up in one of the conference rooms.

"It is very early for everyone I know, but this place is very busy and we aren't the only ones to perform here today..." The teacher spoke. After explaining the schedule for today and answering questions they finally began their final rehearsal.

Hongjoong watched in awe as they moved across the room. The three subgroups that consisted of upperclassmen were good as well. Before he knew it the rehearsal was over.

"That was really good guys," Hongjoong complimented the three.

"Thanks," San beamed the compliment cheering him up after he had over thought some minor mistakes.

"I'm beat," Yeosang sat down next to Hongjoong leaning his head on the table.

"It's always like this the day of the performance. Everyone pushes really hard to be perfect so the pressure is on right now." Seonghwa explained taking the seat on the other side of Hongjoong.

Seonghwa waved from the side of the stage to Hongjoong who was sitting directly upfront with Seonghwa's brother and his girlfriend. Hongjoong gave him a thumbs up as the announcer introduced their group and everyone climbed the stage to their spots.

Hongjoong couldn't keep his eyes off Seonghwa as he danced. He couldn't believe that the man on the stage was the same man who was just waving like an excited idiot with the biggest smile plastered on his face.

There were many performers and even two local bands. The event came to an end and Seonghwa was rushing to Hongjoong.

"What did you think?"

"You were like a different person on stage it was really fun watching all of you really perform." Hongjoong complimented.

"Good," the older beamed.

"Look who finally learned how to stay on beat," His brother joked ruffling Seonghwa's hair.

"Kick rocks." Seonghwa playfully swatted his hand away.

"You were great up there," His brother's girlfriend complimented as well.

"Thank you."

"Seonghwa," Hongjoong pulled the other to the side.

"We'll wait in the car Hwa." His brother waved.

"I got you something, it's really..."

"Let's see it." Hongjoong, who was avoiding Seonghwa's eyes, gave him the keychain.

"He reminded me of you." Hongjoong stared off into the distance behind Seonghwa. His heart was racing as the other hadn't said a word yet.

"Thank you," Seonghwa hugged the other as he chuckled.

"What's funny?"

"My brother said the same thing after we watched the first movie together, so I have a giant Toothless plush he gave me as a joke for my birthday the same year,"

"Ahh,"

"Also I got you something too but we'll have to wait until we get back. For now let's enjoy some delicious food." Seonghwa grabbed Hongjoong's hand and began making his way to the car.

Seonghwa held tightly onto the keychain ,the biggest smile on his face as he proudly walked through the crowd with Hongjoong at his side.

"We should hang out more often." Hongjoong suddenly spoke up.

"Like a date?" Seonghwa questioned with a smirk.

"Uh..I," Hongjoong panicked.

"I was only kidding Joong," Seonghwa gently squeezed Hongjoong's hand.

"It can be a date...if you want." He mumbled.

"What was that?" Seonghwa raised an eyebrow.

"It can be a date," Hongjoong spoke a little louder.

"Well then, when we get back and if you have time let's go on a date."
