Years later where they last left off
"Do you like the song?" Hongjoong nervously bit at his thumbnail. Seonghwa had one of Hongjoong's earbuds in and his face was blank as he listened to the song.
"The song just started Joong," Seonghwa giggled at his boyfriend's nervous behavior.
"I know, but I just need to know what you're thinking as you listen to it." Hongjoong emphasized.
"This part here...do you think you could slow the tempo?"
"Yeah I can do that. I'll send the new one as soon as I'm done." Hongjoong moved to change what Seonghwa wanted.
"We still have time Joong you don't have to finish it now."
"But-"
"Hush," Seonghwa held his index finger up to Hongjoong's lips and pulled him onto the bed with him. It was silent but comfortable as it always was between the two.
"Seonghwa," Hongjoong spoke up turning to face the other.
"Hm?" Seonghwa hummed eyes closed.
"Are you okay?"
"The showcase is coming up and I'm gonna be really busy from then on. I just want to spend as much time as I can with you until then."
"What are you doing going off to war? I'm sure you can go a little bit without seeing me as frequently as now." Hongjoong playfully rolled his eyes giving the pouty Seonghwa a peck.
"I can't, you don't understand I need this Joong." He whined. This was behavior Hongjoong expected from San and it seems hanging out with said guy rubbed off on Seonghwa.
"So dramatic." Hongjoong was going to give in anyways as much as he couldn't really admit he felt the same way.
"Are you guys gonna get married?" Seojun popped into the room.
"What?" The two both sat up in unison. Seojun climbed up onto his bed plopping himself down next to his newly announced favorite person, Seonghwa.
"You know like how auntie and uncle did. Are you gonna do that too? Because mom will let me stay up later instead of going home early."
"Seojun we're too young to get married." Hongjoong awkwardly laughed.
"If you ask mom and dad they will let you. Can you get a bouncy house too? And Seonghwa do you think your mom will bring juice?"
"We still can't do that buddy." Seonghwa ruffled the boys hair.
"Who's gonna get married around here." Seojun threw his hands up with a huff.
"What's up with him and marriage?"
"My aunt and uncle got married last week and he's still upset we had to leave early and he couldn't finish playing."
"Would you ever marry me though?" Seonghwa seriously was asking.
"I don't know anything could happen." Hongjoong shrugged.
"That wasn't a no," Seonghwa teased.
"We can be like those cheesy couples at school. Hongjoong you're my forever." Seonghwa continued as he took Hongjoong's hand into his and kissed the back of it.
"You're cute so I'll let it slide." Hongjoong smiled.
