I have to talk to someone...

I have to talk to someone...

I have to talk to someone...

I have to ta...

"Shayne." I saw Shayne standing in the parking looking at his phone.
"Hey Damie, whoa, easy man." Shayne said as I frantically grabbed his arm.

"I can't do this now. I have to tell y/n that I like her. The awkwardness is gone now but the fanfic keeps on playing in my memory. I have to..."
"I KNEW IT. I TOLD YOU SHAYNE." I heard Courtney' voice.

Shit! Courtney heard it!!!

I froze as I realized that now not only she suspects that, but also I have given her the proof of it.
Infront of Shayne.
Whom she can easily manipulated to act as an evidence for this situation.
Shit.

"Courtney, I didn't know you were here." I tried to act casual.

After y/n, Courtney is the last person I wanted to know this. Not that she can't keep secrets. On the contrary, she is an excellent secret keeper. But she is also match-maker Ian's right arm and a low key match maker on her own.
I know this for a fact that in past she has made some attempts to hook me up with some of her friends, but this is y/n we are talking about. It would be a bad news if she takes it badly but worse if she takes it in a good way. Shayne's efforts are already too much and if Courtney too tries to push me any closer to her, I would give in to the temptations.

"In the car, front seats, both of you. Damien, today you are coming with us to our place."

Me and Shayne were looking at each other, trying to telepathically figure out what to do.
"Nowwww." She said.

It worked. Shayne immediately walked around me and sat in the driver's seat. I too gave up and walked to the other side of car to take the passenger seat.

We were out of the office campus. We were on the main road and I still wasn't able to completely process my situation.
Courtney knowing this is as good as y/n knowing it.

But what am I worrying about? She had to know it someday. And if i am planning on confessing my feelings to y/n, she will be a greater help than anyone.
But if she takes on the lead then she will make me do things as she likes it and it will ruin things between me and y/n.
Well then we don't let her have the leading position.

"You said 'you knew it'. Did Shayne tell you anything?" I asked Courtney turning my body towards her.
"Dude, you don't trust me?!!!" Shayne asked.
"I do, but I don't trust Courtney's boyfriend." I said and again turned myself to her.

"Nah, he didn't tell me anything."
She said and crossed her arms.
"Hah! I told you I won't tell anybody."

"Then how did you know?" I asked her in a bit agitated tone.
"I figured it out. Actually I had my doubts, but it got confirmed today." She said with a proud look on her face.

I just nodded and returned back to my normal position.

"What gave me away?" I asked.

If she caught it then there is a good chance that somebody else did it too.
God i hope nobody did. Involving more people would just make it more complicated.

"Some stuff here and there. But that is not the point. The point is that you like her." She said as she enthusiastically ruffed my hair.

"Correction. He doesn't like her, he LOVES her." Shayne butted in.
"Shut up man." I immediately said.
"Awwww. That is even better." Courtney said.

There was a silence for some time, which gave me enough time to realise that maybe it wasn't that bad.
Getting Courtney involved in this would actually bring the necessary girl pal factor.
You know, somebody who can get to that part of y/n's life where only her female friend can reach.
