The scene opens up onto an audience that consists of back round characters from every animated Disney and Dreamworks film. The audience is clapping vigorously. Soon, the camera sweeps in closer to the stage, on which there's a rather plush-looking navy blue couch, and a white leather recliner seating the interviewer/host of the show, Mickey Mouse.
Mickey: Hello, everyone, and welcome to our first update to Ask US How We Feel!
A wave of enthusiastic applause cracks through as the audience cheers.
Mickey:As you all know, we'll be discussing the ups and downs of animated fanfiction. Each and every new update of this show will bring in a fresh pair of guests, as well as a fresh point of view.
Now, for the moment everyone has been waiting for...Let's begin! The Rise of the Guardians theme song floods onto the stage, causing the crowd to gasp, then begin cheering. The screens fitted into the walls behind the stage instantly light up, displaying various scenes from the movie.
Mickey: We know him as the Winter Spirit, the bringer of snow days, and the Guardian of Fun. This very young man even sacrificed his life in order to save his little sister. Ladies and gentlemen, put your hands together for Jack Frost!
The audience's cheers increase in volume and excitement as a gap splits down the center of the screens behind the stage, parting to form a doorway.
But no one is there.
Immediately, the crowd goes silent, confusion settling in.Mickey: Huh...That's strange. I'm sure I called him up today.
As if on cue, a ringing sound replaces the music. Murmurs grip the crowd as no one knows what will happen next. Mickey rises to his feet, his eyes widening immensely.
A cool breeze gusts out from the open doorway, followed by a cluster of snowflakes. The snowflakes combine, becoming a blurred landscape of white.
Just as it seemed the mini-storm would collapse, everything stops.
The frozen snow and ice dissolve, revealing the familiar white-haired boy we all know.
The audience goes into a frenzy.Mickey: Ah, there he is! Jack, you always have to put on a a show, don't you?
Jack smiles, twirling his crooked, frost-glazed staff slightly before leaping into the air, floating delicately into a comfortable position on the couch.
Jack: What can I say, Mick? It's fun to!
Mickey laughs.
Mickey: We're all glad you could make it! Unfortunately, Queen Elsa had some minor events to take care of. Don't you all worry, though, 'cause she'll be here later on!
Jack rolls his eyes, shaking his head with a playful smirk.
Jack: That girl can never take her mind off of her duties.
Mickey: Speaking of duties, how's the whole guardian thing going?
Jack: Great, actually! It's not as boring as I thought it would be, that's for sure.
Mickey: What makes you think that?
Jack: Well, ever since Jamie-- you know, Jamie Bennett? the kid? His belief in me helped me understand that I was never alone. 'Cause, at first, when the Guardians came to me with the hope of me joining them, I thought they were kidding. Would anyone here ever imagine me, Jack Frost, worrying over one of North's deadline sheets? I mean, seriously, that's enough to kill me all over again.Audience laughs.
Jack: So, of course, I was offended. For 300 years, I was that one myth that no one knew about. That not even the other myths cared about. I was kinda in my own category, you know? All of those 300 years, I believed that.
But Jamie... Jack smiles. Jamie helped me understand that I was so much more. That one moment, when he said my name, on his own free will, was the moment I finally recognized that I was meant to be a guardian. That I was meant to protect kids. What else could be better than that?
