Epilogue
Maxx's POV
It's been six months since I killed Jack. Now I didn't have to worry about him coming back for Nicole. She was back home now. She'd finished school in France. I wouldn't be surprised if she passed.
She's smart. I was standing outside of her house. All I could think was why me. We were moving. Which meant I didn't know when I would see her again.
I hated that part the most. I was gonna miss her. Logan had left a week ago. I asked my parents why we couldn't stay. They just said we couldn't.
I had no idea how I was gonna tell her."What did you want to tell me?" Nicole asked breaking me from my thoughts.
"Let's go for a walk first." I said.
"Ok."
We walked to the park. I still didn't know how I was gonna tell her. I wish I'd never come here. That I'd never met her. That I didn't fall in love with her then I wouldn't have to worry about this.
"So what did you want to tell me?" she asked.
"Huh?" I said.
"You said you had to tell me something."
"O. Right. Well I'm leaving."
"What?"
I hated when she was sad. When she was sad I was sad.
"My parents are making me. Which means we have to break up." I said.
She didn't say anything.
"I don't wanna it's just that I don't know if I'm gonna come back. I don't want you to wait for me to come back. Can we still be friends?" I said.
"Sure." she said.
"Now let's get you back before your father accuses me of kidnapping."
She laughed. The next day my parents and I left. I said goodbye to Nicole one more time. I would never forget her. How could I? I really hope I run into her again.
