Here's the first oficial chapter of My Lucky Pool! Hope you enjoy!
There's a picture of the houses to the side. Now just imagine them side by side and in the middle of a huge green grass place....
Ella's POV
"Ella!"
"What do you want Cass!"
Screaming to each other instead of texting or calling. Very efficient. Saves energy.
"Bri said that she's bored!"
"Well then tell her to suck it up!"
"She said-"
"I DON'T CARE ABOUT WHAT SHES SAYS! LET ME PRACTISE THE DAMN SONG!" I screamed in frustration. I've been interrupted three times already. Once when our dog, Scarlett, decided to jump into my lap because she just got bored I guess? The second time was when some random person called and said he call the wrong number. And now this. Someone help me. Can’t a girl practice piano songs in peace?! Geez.
"ARF!"
Oh joy. Scar comes bounding to me again. He planted himself next to my chair legs and looked up at me with his big puppy dog eyes. Now, THOSE are real good puppy dog eyes. I forced my head to turn back to the sheet music to focus on practicing the song again but Scar was bugging me. You know how you see something you really don’t want to see but you can't look away? That's how I feel right now.
"Alright Scar, what do you want." I finally let out. She barks happily then bounds to the door before looking back to see if I was following her. With a roll of my eyes, I reluctantly followed after her. This better be quick. My piano awaits. I CAN'T BEAR TO BE APART FROM IT! WE WERE MEANT TO BE!
She runs to the kitchen and started sniffing her bowl indicating that she wants some food. Its sometimes sucks to know your dog so well. It's also kinda sad that I know a dog so well....Huh.
I walked to the cabinet and took out the huge bag of dog food then dumped some into her bowl. I got her other bowl and filled it with clean water before giving it back to Scar.
"Happy now?"
"With what?"
Cass was leaning against the door frame with her eyebrow raised at me.
"Nothing.' I answered a bit too quickly. "Any plans for today?"
She shrugged then shook her head. I sighed. Life gets kinda boring when you live literaly in the middle of nowhere. I do have more time to play piano now. Well not right now. Summer is great and all but all of our friends are either away onvacation or live far away.
"Well wanna go swimming then?"
She smiled then ran off.
I mimicked her actions ran to my room then pulled out my light blue, pink and white striped two piece swimsuit and a towel then ran to our pool. I smiled dove into the deep end. Normally we wear our swimsuit under our clothes but it's pretty early in the morning and I was still in my PJs.
I love our pool. I floated at the surface enjoying the peace and quiet. But of course, someone interrupted me. Nothing surprising there. Live in this household for a while and you'll learn that pretty quickly.
Cass screamed as she jumped into the pool but not without splashing water everywhere. I coughed out water that entered my lungs.
"You gotta stop doing that." I choked out. She just shrugged and grinned at me.
"Hey guys!" Bri and El greeted us as they walked through the door of the fence and took a seat on the chairs under the umbrella. Our houses our connected through our backyard. And through some rooms in our houses. But the doors are hidden although not very well. El had her laptop in her arms with her while Bri had a book. No surprise there.
"I think I should check my mail...Haven't checked it in a while..." El thinks aloud then turned on her computer and typed in something. There's El for you. Always forgetful.
"OH MY GOSH!" She squealed. "We won the contest!"
"What contest?" I asked at the same time Cass asked "You signed us up for a contest?" But Bri was too engrossed in her book to notice what's happening around her. Or she's just ignoring us. I'm going with the latter.
"To answer your question Cass, yes I did sign us up for a contest. And to answer your question Ella, the contest is that The Wanted gets to do a private concert just for us when they come over."
Cass, El and even Bri started mumbling together about what they should wear and if they should prepare anything.
"Uhh I think I'll skip." I said loudly. They all turn to look at me.
"Why?" They asked in unison.
"You guys know that I don’t like The Wanted that much." I shrugged like it’s nothing. But it’s clearly something to the others. El and Cass shook their head at me while Bri goes back to her book.
"Oh it’s today by the way." El said after a moment of silence. Just great. Bri, Cass and El dashed out of the pool area and ran back in to the house once they let El's words sink in. I slowly climbed out of the pool then grabbed my towel and went inside. The girls can have their fun. I’m not going to be a party pooper.
I took a shower then blow dried my hair. Then I put on a simple summer dress on and let me wavy hair fall down my back before heading to the music room. There, the piano sheet music I was working on previously was still there waiting for me.
Ding Dong
My guess is that The Wanted are here. I continued playing completely oblivious to anything around. Even the footsteps coming down the stairs.
