I carefully read the contract that Timothy drafted. Everything listed there is very detailed but doable. The only thing that worries me is the move-in portion.

Naisip ko ang sasabihin ng parents ko. Ok lang ba sa kanila ito? Will I be safe there?

I'm used to living with my brothers, but how can I live with a total stranger?

I bit my lips and closed my eyes. Should I sign the contract and accept his conditions?

I tried to crumple the paper but stopped myself midway.

Kiara, you saw it. Wala ka ding mapagkatiwalaang ibang lalaki bukod sa kanya. Will you really let this opportunity pass you by?

I opened my eyes and picked the pen again.

"Let's get over this."

I signed the paper and sighed.

I went out of my room and walked towards the living room where I saw my mom watching a cooking show.

Tumabi ako sa kanya at sumandal sa balikat nito. "Ma." Pagtawag ko.

"Hmm?" Tanong nito.

"Nakapili na po ako." Sabi ko.

Tumingin sa akin si Mama at pinatay ang TV.

"Who?"

Nagbuntong hininga ako bago sumagot sa kanya. " Timothy Fuentes."

"Fuentes? Anak ni Gio?" Tanong nito.

"Yes. Fuentes Group's only son."

Kumunot ang noo nito saglit ngunit biglaan di namang napangiti.

"I know the kid. He looks reliable but not romantic. Are you okay with that kind of guy?" May pagaalalang tanong nito.

Natigilan naman ako at napaisip. Am I willing to spend the rest of my life with someone like him? Or should I wait a little more?

"I'll try to get to know him, Ma. I will move in with him. He asked for it."

"Move in?" Gulat ang mukha ni Mama. I know this will be her reaction. "Your dad and I won't approve! Not unless pumunta sya dito and explain himself over dinner."

Okay. I'm already expecting this. He has to cooperate. "Okay, Ma. I'll give him a call."

Pumasok ulit ako sa kwarto at dinayal ang phone number ni Timothy. Nagring ito ng dalawang beses bago may sumagot sa kabilang linya.

"Hello?" Sagot ng boses sa kabilang linya.

"Hello? Timothy? It's me, Kiara." Pagpapakilala ko.

"Hi ma'am. I'm Dan, his secretary. Sorry, he's in a meeting right now. I'll ask him to call you back right after."

"Okay." I responded.

Binaba ko ang telepono at bumagsak sa kama. A guy who's always busy with work, would I really like a guy like that?

Ginulo ko ang buhok ko at sinuntok ang ilang stuffed toys na naandun. In my 23 years of existence, ngayon lang ako nafrustrate ng ganito.

Makalipas ang 15 minuto, nagring ulit ang telepono. Dalidali akong bumangon at dinampot iyon. Naghintay muna ako ng 5 seconds bago pinindot ang answer button. Hindi lang ako ang pwedeng maghintay.

" Hello?" Sagot ko.

"Hi." Pagbati ng boses sa kabilang linya. The voice sounded so calm and sophisticated. I know its him.

" Timothy, I need your help."

"Yes. What can I help you with?"

"You have to meet my family. Hindi sila pumayag sa move-in portion ng contract. They asked you to explain over dinner."
