Hale Manor

"Rosie, it's time to wake up. We're leaving for Kings Cross Station soon." I slowly open my eyes to see my sister.

"Okay thanks, Ana."

Today's the day. I'm finally going home. My home, that is. After she leaves my room I throw on a Beatles t-shirt, a sweatshirt, and jeans. It's better to be comfortable on the train ride. I pull my long blonde hair up into a high ponytail. My hair is the only thing I got from my mother other than my green eyes. I think that's why my father cannot stand to look at me unless it is necessary.

"Rosemary! We are leaving in ten minutes, with or without you!" My father yells from the foyer.

"I'm coming, Father!" I grab my suitcase and wand before hurrying downstairs.

When I reach the foyer I see my Father shaking his head at me, clearly displeased with my lack of time management.

"Do try to be on time in the future, Rosemary. You know how much I hate tardiness." He says before grabbing all of our hands and apparating us to Kings Cross.

King's Cross Station, Platform 9 and 3/4

"Rosemary!" I turn around, only to be greeted with a hug.

"Pansy, I've missed you. How was your summer?" I ask before hugging her back.

"Oh, you know. The usual. Father was away on Ministry business so Mum and I just stayed around the manor all summer. How was yours?" She asks.

"We went to Paris for two weeks so that was a lot of fun. Although my Father arranged me to be married." I tell her rolling my eyes.

"To who?!"

Out of nowhere two hands cover my eyes.

"Guess who?" A familiar voice whispers in my ear.

"Draco, you're not funny." I snap as I slap his hands away from my face.

"Draco? That's who you're engaged to?" Pansy asks in disbelief.

"Yes, it's me. My father has been waiting since his time at Hogwarts to join our families together... But I'm sure everything will be fine." Draco says squeezing my hand gently and giving me a small smile that didn't reach his eyes.

I look back at Pansy to see her grimace at our hand holding. I know that she has a small crush on Draco but he only sees her as a friend. It's not like I had a choice in the matter. If I did I would be single and focused on getting good grades.

"I have to go say goodbye to my father. He'll be worried if I don't. See you guys on the train." Pansy says quietly before rushing off.

"She seemed a bit odd, don't you think?" Draco asks me.

"She probably just needs time to process that we are to be wed soon. She has had a crush on you since third year. Poor girl's probably upset." I tell him.

"I know. It'll take time but I know she will come around eventually." He says.

He lets go of my hand to grab his trunk.

"You ready for another year at Hogwarts?" I ask him.

"Hell no. I'm dreading this year and it hasn't even started yet." He says before we board the train.

When we reach the Slytherin compartment he throws his trunk above before grabbing mine.

"Thanks." I tell him with a small smile.

"Don't mention it."

We sit down and soon our friends join us.

"Rosie! How was your summer?" Blaise asks.
