JOHN'S POV"That was a great meal, don't you agree?" I asked, smiling at James.
"It was spoilt but you are a glutton, maybe that's why you didn't notice." James replied, chuckling with a toothpick in his mouth.
"Let's go and sue that restaurant." I yelled, kicking a stone in my path.
"The food is already in your belly, be grateful that you are still alive." James replied, laughing loudly.
I was basking in the glory of getting my brother back when the phone in my pocket vibrated with immediate attention. I sighed heavily, casting a weak smile at James and picked the call.
"Hello, How can I help you?" I asked, licking my lips.
"Good evening, it's Aisha. I don't want to file for the case against Danjuma anymore. I probably got it mixed up." Aisha said, her voice breaking in a fearful way.
"What kind of excuse is that? You want to let that rape incident go like that. Tell me, did Danjuma threaten you?" I asked, gripping the phone tightly.
"I just told you that I am no more interested in this case anymore. Goodnight." Aisha yelled, causing me to remove the phone from my ears slightly.
"Aisha, you....." I began, but she cut the line, before I could finish my statement.
"Can you imagine this? She called me two days ago that she wanted to file a case against Danjuma and today, she's saying that she's no more interested?" I asked, gritting my teeth.
"Danjuma is an influential man. He probably has something that Aisha needs or wants and he waves that need to his advantage." James replied, sighing heavily.
"You really do have experience with him. I am going to the hospital where Danjuma is being admitted, give me the keys." I replied, stretching out my hands.
"It's very late at night. Do you really want to do this?" James inquired, dropping the keys into my hands.
"Of course, you already told me to do your job. Stay at the hospital. I'll see you soon." I replied, scratching my head.
"By the way, where did you park the car?" I asked, squeezing my lips.
"It's right over that corner. Do you have night blindness?" James asked, patting me on the head.
"Why do you keep touching me on the head?" I asked, walking backwards.
"Because it's so attractive." James replied, winking at me.
I scoffed internally and opened the car door. I smelt the musk and whisk of James and it set an aura of peace. I roared the car engine to life and stepped on the accelerator aggressively. The only thing on my head was Danjuma and how to make sure the law caught up with him.

I walked into the hospital with a scrowl on my face. The hospital was lavish and extremely sophisticated. I walked up to a nurse that kept typing aggressively on the desktop.
"Hello, I am here to see Danjuma Yusuf." I said, giving her a fake smile.
"But it's late in the night and guests aren't supposed to be in the ward." She replied, turning her eyes back to the desktop.
I scratched the back of my head desperately and squeezed my forehead in despair. I searched my pockets to reach for money and flipped a five thousand naira on the blue counter.
"Please reconsider." I said, shifting the money into her palm.
"Just for ten minutes." She said, shoving the money into her pockets.
