"Connie I don't think I can do this! I really thought I could and that it's what I wanted but... I don't know, I think I need to go home..." Steven was pacing his dorm room with his phone to his ear, clothes half unpacked on the bed.

"Come on Steven, you've only been here a day, you're just feeling homesick is all! That's completely normal, you haven't even been to a single class yet, just give it a week and see how you feel, I promise it's not that bad." Connie tried to reassure him.

Steven sighs down the phone. "Connie I haven't ever felt this way before and I'm just really nervous, what if I'm not made out for this at all, I've never had a day of school in my life how did I think I could do this, this is so dumb!"

Connie could hear him starting to panic on the other end. "Steven meet me by the fountain, we'll go get something to eat and you can get to know your surroundings a bit, how does that sound?"

"I...I guess..."

"Great! Meet you there in 15 okay?" Connie put her phone down and put her jacket on. She knew it would be a challenge for Steven from the start but now that he was panicking she wasn't entirely sure how she could get him settle down, especially since they were in completely separate classes. She closed the door to her dorm room behind her letting out a small sigh and began making her way to meet Steven.

Meanwhile Steven was already at the fountain as it was right by his dorm. He glanced at all the people around him, happily chatting to each other excited for the new college year.

'I don't even know how to talk to people my own age besides Connie, what am I gonna do in class?! Ugh Steven what have you gotten yourself into?! You should have just stayed in Beach City teaching at little home-'

"Hey Steven!"

Steven jumped out of his thoughts and looked up to see Connie.

"O-oh, hey Connie!"

"So uh, you unpacked your stuff yet?" She asked as she sat down next to him.

"Oh, um, not exactly..."

"Well that's okay, you've got lots of time! So what do you want to eat? There's a lot of choice round here."

"I'm not really sure... I guess I'll see what there is." Steven said as he scratched the back of his head awkwardly.

"Steven, I promise you you'll love it here okay? We're in it together. We may not be in the same classes but we can meetup when we aren't in class. You can call everyone back at home whenever you like too, you know that." she said, putting an arm round him.

"I know, it's just weird and new. I...I'm sure I'll get used to it. Lets go get that food huh?" He gave Connie an awkward smile and they headed off to go find a place to eat.
