Walking out the doors I sigh in complete exhaustion. I watch the door waiting for my friends to walk out. Lunch didn't even happen so I guess we'll have to wait until tomorrow. They thought meeting our teachers were more important.

I pull my phone out and begin to type.

Where are you guys? - Me

Inside - Mark

No kidding, where? - Me

We're headed out now - Mary

They all walk out and get in making the car warmer.

"Okay." I say turning the keys.

After dropping everyone off I pull into my driveway. When I walk through the door the boxes are gone and thrown in the recycling. Walking up to my room I hear my mom talking.

"Of course." She says.

"Thanks so much." A voice replies.

I close my bedroom door and take my shirt off. Walking to my closet I pull a black shirt out.

"Yes, my daughter should get along nicely." My mom says.

I roll my eyes and lay the shirt on my bed. Slipping my vans off I walk towards my desk and put my notebooks neatly in a stack.

When I go to pull my shirt over my head I hear my door open. I freak out and pull my shirt down my torso quickly to see a familiar face.

He smirks before leaving and closing the door behind him. I toss my head back in embarrassment. What the hell is he doing here!  I shake it off and open my bed room door and here the front door close. When I walk into my mom's room she's laying in bed with the TV remote.

"Hey." She says.

"Where's the lady?" I ask.

"They left." She says.

I turn to walk out and turn into my bed room door. I slide my skirt off and put on a pair of sweats. I hear a knock on the door and I quickly turn around.

"At least some one can knock." I say rolling my eyes.

"What?" My mom asks walking in.

"Nothing." I say running my hand through my hair.

"I just wanted to say they'll be here while I'm gone." She says.

"I can count mother, I... goodnight." I say sliding into bed.

She walks out and turns the lights off. I pull my hair into a small bun and cover my face with my blanket. 'Good night world.' I think before dozing off.

I wake up to the sun shining in my eyes. I groan remembering I didn't close my curtains. Going to school and seeing that Hart kid is going to be so awkward. I groan at the thought, he's going to remember. I just hope he doesn't say anything about it, I just focus on getting ready.

I pull on a pair of denim shorts and a red long sleeve shirt. Undoing my bun I walk into my bathroom and pull out my curler. I swipe on some mascara, blush, and chapstick. Lip gloss and lipstick was never my thing. I decide to go with my orange vans this time then I head down stairs.

"Hey." I say to my mom.

She waves while flipping through the newspaper. Who reads newspaper anymore? Answer: My mother. I get a yogurt from the big fridge and pour some granola into the cup.

"How's school El?" She asks.

"It's... Okay." I say.

"Okay?" She asks.
