"When can my heart beat again?

When does the pain ever end?
When do the tears stop from running over?
When does "you'll get over it" begin?"- When Can I See You?- Babyface

"Good morning, Bruno." Eric greets as Bruno walks into the kitchen. He sits on one of the stools.

"Good morning." Was Bruno's short answer.

"You look tired."

"Hm." Bruno replied, taking out his phone and scrolling through it.

"Are you tired?"

"If I look tired then chances are I am tired, right? What kinda question is that?" Bruno snaps. Eric looks at him for a second then raises his hands in mock surrender.

"I give up." He mumbles. He turns his back to Bruno and continues looking after breakfast. Bruno lets out a sigh and leans his head on his hand.

"My bad, Eric. I'm just... I don't know."

"Nervous?"

"I guess so. I've never been to one of these things before."

Today is Bruno's first therapy session. It had been a week since Jaime announced that he could keep the kids, as long as he complied. And now, he was up bright and early to attend his first meeting.

He didn't really know how to feel about the entire situation. Bruno Mars? Going to therapy? The media would be all over him if he was still relevant.

Part of him was confused, but also kind of relieved. He had gone through a lot in the entertainment industry, so he always knew at the back of his mind that he would have to talk to someone sooner or later. He just didn't know the reason would be the death of his wife.

"Just relax. Jaime and I read the reviews on her, and we met her like 2 days ago. She's a sweet lady, probably in her 40s. I felt like I was talking to mom the entire time."

Bruno tapped his fingertips on the counter top absentmindedly. "Hm." He replied again.

"You know we just want the best for you, right? I don't want you to feel like you're forced to do this or something. This is for your benefit. We just want you to feel better." Eric said, turning around so he could face his little brother.

Bruno chuckles. "You're saying that like I didn't get threatened with the possible disappearance of my kids."

"Bruno."

"Eric."

"Peter."

Bruno gives him a look and then shakes his head, a small smile appearing. "You're not funny."

Eric smiles. "I wasn't trying to be."

Bruno was about to reply, but he heard small footsteps rapidly approaching him.
