Predator: The Ultimate Hunt

Chapter Thirteen - Blood Feud

The Predator soon made his way to the camp's sacred grounds where the Berserker Predator stood before them. The two Predators stared each other down as the blood feud reached it's climax. The two Predators then began fighting each other in an intense fight. The smaller Predator used his speed to his evade the larger Berserker's attacks, but he is soon overpowered. It didn't take long for the Predator's previous injuries to begin taking effect as the Berserker Predator began mercilessly beating on him. Suddenly, Pyrrha attacked the Berserker Predator with her Milo sword and defends the other Predator with her Akouo shield. 

Pyrrha: If you want to kill him, you're going to have to go through me!

The Berserker Predator towered over Pyrrha as the other Predator slowly got up. The Berserker then fired his Plasma Castor at Pyrrha, but she dodges the attack. She then charges at the Berserker and uses her Akouo shield to bash in the Plasma Castor, destroying it. The Berserker then grabs Pyrrha and throws her against a nearby tree. The other Predator then charges at the Berserker and lands a small slash with his Wristblades, but the Berserker then turns his attention to the attacking Predator and attacks him with his Wristblades. Pyrrha soon recovered and began assisting the Predator, but the Berserker soon overpowers the two. Pyrrha and the Predator stand side by side as the Berserker takes off his mask, revealing it's face.

Pyrrha: We will defeat this foe! Together!

The Predator nodded to Pyrrha as the two began attacking the Berserker. They attempt to use a coordinated attack against their common enemy, but the Berserker proves too powerful for them. Pyrrha attempts to land the final blow, but the Berserker grabs her by the throat and begins assaulting her. Pyrrha coughs up blood as the Berserker casts her aside. The Berserker soon turns his attention back to the Predator and the two engage in an intense fight with their Wristblades. The Berserker overpowers the Predator and begins to beat him down. As this occurs, Pyrrha attempts to get up, but she finds herself unable to get up. 

Pyrrha: N.....no.....I....I need.....to help.

Pyrrha can only watch as the Berserker beats on the Predator without mercy. Pyrrha wanted to help, but her condition prevented her from doing so. All she could do was crawl towards the two. The Berserker then tore off the Predator's mask, revealing his face. The Predator lets out a defiant roar, refusing to show weakness of any kind. Without hesitation, the Berserker swiftly decapitates the Predator. 

Pyrrha: N....no! 

As the Predator's head rolled to the ground and it's headless corpse fell to the ground, the Berserker roared in triumph. It's victory was short lived when Pyrrha grabbed his leg. Her green eyes locked with the Berserker. 

Pyrrha: I.....I won't....give up....monster.....

The Berserker showed no emotion as he grabbed Pyrrha by the throat. Suddenly, Pyrrha had flashbacks to when she was back in Beacon during the attack. She remembered how she was on her knees as Cinder was about to finish her off. 

Pyrrha(Past): Do you believe in destiny?

Cinder: Yes.

It was at that point that Cinder was about to finish Pyrrha off. What saved her was the Predators taking her to their Game Preserve planet. Now here she was about to meet the same fate she was saved from. Suddenly, boh heard the sound of a ship taking off. Pyrrha saw the ship and knew what was going on. 

Pyrrha: (Dark Ace.....Cad Bane.....you...you left after all. I....I hope you can live with yourselves.)

The Berserker Predator then dropped Pyrrha to the ground as he watched the ship taking off. The Berserker calmly pressed a button on his wrist gauntlet. As he did, the ship suddenly explodes and crashes to the ground. Seeing this made Pyrrha's heart stop. 

Pyrrha: No.....

Despite her personal feelings about Dark Ace and Cad Bane, even they didn't deserve to die in the way they did. It was at this point that Pyrrha was now truly alone. Everyone she fought with as now dead. She was the lone survivor. Despite this, Pyrrha continued to attempt a fight, but the Berserker was too powerful as he grabbed Pyrrha by the neck. In that moment, Pyrrha felt crippling fear. To her, she was about to die. Her thoughts fell on the friends she made back in Beacon. From Ruby to her teammates in Team JNPR. She would never see them again. She would never see Jaune again as her thoughts fell towards him. 

Pyrrha: (Jaune.....I'm sorry. I....I love you.....)

Pyrrha closed her eyes as she waited for the end. Suddenly, a loud roar was heard in nearby. The Berserker dropped Pyrrha as they both saw Dark Ace covered in mud standing over a ridge holding a torch in one hand and his Crystal Sword in the other. 

Pyrrha: A....Ace? 

Dark Ace: I'm here. Kill me!

Dark Ace then threw the torch on the ground as a large ring of fire engulfed the area. The Berserker Predator then chased after Dark Ace. As Dark Ace leads the Berserker away from Pyrrha, Cad Bane approaches her. 

Pyrrha: Cad....I thought.....

Cad Bane: Dark Ace changed his mind. Didn't want you to throw your life away. He promised me a lot of money to help him. 

Cad Bane then gives Pyrrha a Bacta injection which slightly heals her wounds. This suicide mission now became a battle. A battle that could be won.
