luckily, the two were able to find a secluded place that was near the party where the paparazzi won't be able to see them. they sat down in a bench to talk.

"hi nini how are you doing?" ricky asks.

"uh great actually. just took the sats so i'm feeling kinda relieved." nini lets out a small laugh. "how about you?"

"good. career is going great. i mean i got my first nomination ever." ricky chuckles.

nini sighs, "how is it going with you and diana?"

"you had to ask that. ugh, she's the worst. she's really getting in my nerves. this publicity stunt thing is hard to manage. it's difficult to act like you're in love with her but you're technically not." ricky replies, making nini's eyes widen.

"huh?"

ricky came closer, holding her hand, "nini. i'm still in love with you. i think about you everyday and how you're doing! i wanted to reach out but big red told me not to and that i should give you some space. i-"

"ricky! stop! just stop it ok? you've hurt me too much. i'm here having a hard time to move on from you! to move on from what we had then you tell me that you are still in love with me?! what the fuck ricky?" nini cries out.

"it's the truth neens, i still love you. i'm trying my best to fix all of this so i can finally be with you!"

nini scoffs, "whatever ricky, those are just words! i'm so done believing all of your lies. you've hurt my feelings too much. if i knew you were going to be here, i wouldn't come."

"nini, please-" ricky pleads.

"i think it's best if we don't see each other for the meantime. you love your career and music too much and as i said, i don't want to get in the way of your dreams. goodbye ricky."

nini left and tears taking over her eyes. she called an uber to take her back to the hotel. she wanted to be alone for a while, so she texted them that she left so they wouldn't worry.

on the other hand, ricky sat down on the bench with tears falling down his face. he ran his hands through his curls, thinking how he could get nini back.
