So I was thinking about how lots of stories have foxes and badgers, but what about other predators. Spice up your story with a new predator, one they don't know, one different then the usual. Here are some other predators to use.
Raccoon: A grey mammal commonly found in North America. Much heavier than cats.
Coyote: A canine smaller than wolves, but giant compared to cats. Coyotes are 1-2 feet tall, and faster than cats.
Owls: Nocturnal creatures with big heads, binocular vision, talons, and silent flight. This is a disadvantage for cats, as cats rely on their hearing a lot.
Hawks: Birds of prey that vary in size. Mainly woodland birds (watch out, ThunderClan), they have long tails and high visual activity.
Weasels: Small, active animals with long and slender bodies and stubby legs. They are even sometimes known to attack dogs!
Bobcat: Medium sized wild cat that can be aggressive at times and are fierce hunters. They hunt animals bigger than themselves.
Skunks: Mammals that look like badgers but much bigger. Sprays a liquid with an unpleasant odor.
Opossum: Marsupials that feed on dead animals. They are about the same size as cats, and sometimes smaller. Very protective of their young.
Cougars: Large wild cat that could easily kill cats. They also eat other predators of cats. Much faster than a cat also.
Dogs: I'm not going to put much since you probably know what a dog is.
Bear: HUGE mammal that comes in a vast selection of types. Very heavy and big, and
Eagle: Bird of prey with excellent vision. Very big, and are known to grab cats and carry them in their talons to eat later.
I don't know if there are any others, but those are some predators that you could include in a story!
