Vocabulary

CAMP- a clan's home.

CARRIONPLACE- a dump in the forest territory that is a last resort for fresh-kill.

CROWFOOD- an insult; dead food that has rotted.

DIRTPLACE- the place where cats go to do their business.

FISH-BREATH- an insult used against RiverClan cats.

FLEABRAIN- a friendly, harsh insult.

FOURTREES- four trees in the forest territory where gatherings took place.

FOX-DUNG- an exclamation, like Dang!

FOX-LENGTH- a yard.

FRESH-KILL PILE- a pile usually in the middle of the camp that has food on it so all cats can get it.

FURBALL- a friendly, harsh insult.

GATHERING(S)- a meeting with all the clans at one place once a moon. There is a truce that night, and leaders share information and cats talk to other cats.

GREENLEAF- summer, the season.

HALFBRIDGE- a boat dock.

HALF-MOON- half a month.

HEARTBEAT- a second.

HIGHROCK- a huge rock in the ThunderClan camp where the leader calls clan meetings.

HORSEPLACE- a ranch.

KITTYPET(S)- cats that are cared for by Twolegs.

LEAF-BARE- winter, the season.

LEAF-FALL- the season, autumn.

LONER(S)- cats living on their own who are not kittypets or clan cats. They are passive-aggressive to warriors.

MAKE DIRT- do your business.

MAY STARCLAN LIGHT YOUR PATH- good luck.

MONSTER- a vehicle driven by humans.

MOON- a month.

MOONHIGH- midnight.

MOONPOOL- the place in the lake territory where medicine cats and leaders come to seek advice from StarClan.

MOONRISE- the time when the moon rises.

MOONSTONE- the place in the forest territory where medicine cats and leaders come to seek advice from StarClan.

MOTHERMOUTH- the cave where the Moonstone is/was located.

MOUSE-BRAIN- a friendly, harsh insult.

MOUSE-DUNG- an exclamation, like Dang!

MOUSE-HEARTED- cowardly.

MOUSE-LENGTH- about three inches.

NEWLEAF- spring, the season.

NURSERY- the den shared by kits and queens of that clan.

QUARTER MOON- a week.

ROGUE- hostile and aggressive stray cats that don't belong to a clan, tribe, or Twoleg. Sometimes taken in by clans.

SCAREDY-MOUSE- scaredy-cat.

SHARING TONGUES- cats grooming each other while talking.

SHE-CAT- female cat.

SILVERPELT- the stars that cover the sky; these stars symbolize StarClan.

SUNDOWN- dusk.

SUNHIGH- noon.

SUNRISE- a day.

SUNUP- dawn.

TAIL-LENGTH- a foot.

THUNDERPATH- road that monsters drive on.

TOM- male cat.

TREE-EATER- a bulldozer

TWOLEGPLACE- city, village, or town where Twolegs live.

TWOLEG(S)- human(s).

WHEN HEDGEHOGS FLY- the statement, when pigs fly, but cat version.
