Mi Corazon ( Panchito x Esmeralda part 1 )

Esmeralda groaned and sat on her bed at her flat, drinking camomile and going through documents. It has been a long day.

The 3 caballeros and Della had somehow weaved into her heart ever since they were the new agents at SHUSH. She did see them as stupid fools at first. But then after their first mission together, she was blown away by the genuine friendship of the 4 birds. And Panchito isnt at all the fool she thought of him.

Esmeralda shook her head and drank from her dotted cup again. Why was she thinking about Panchito at this time? She was his supervisor, and that would be so unprofessional!

Her thoughts were interrupted when she received a call none other than Panchito. Sighing, she picked it up and yawned ' Hola, Panchito, ¿Qué es?'

' Hola, senora Esmeralda, ' Panchito answered back a little nervously ' Come estas?'

A small smile appeared on Esmeralda's face as she responded ' Buen, gracias. Si hay algo que le gustaría decir, escúpelo.

Esmeralda could hear Panchito clearing this throat, before saying it in English.' Listen, senora, I just wanted to say...well...I....I really like you. '

Esmeralda's cheeks turned pink. She honestly had no idea that Panchito felt the same way about her. So much for being a professional government agent, Esmeralda sighed. Shocked, she whispered ' I know. '

' YOU KNEW?!?!' Panchito gasped. He was at his flat. After realizing he was speaking perhaps too loudly, he looked around anxiously to see if the neighbours were disturbed. Luckily, everyone seems to be sleeping.

Esmeralda chuckled a little. ' Well, it was...kinda obvious, ' she said slowly ' Jose and Donald told me everything. I honestly didnt believe it...until you called me. What are you doing?'

Panchito took a deep breath, honestly felt tremendous relieved that the lilac parakeet felt the same way ' Oh, no, just catching up a new telenovela on my laptop. What about you?'

' SHUSH documents, ' Esmeralda groaned ' AGAIN. There are so many idiots think that being high up is una pieza de la torta. NO! I literally lost my mind over several cases for weeks! Wait, what are you watching? '

' El Zorro, ' Panchito grinned widely

' Not the gods of Spanish tv shows!!' Esmeralda exclaimed ' Why, I was obsessed with the show, when I was a teenager back in Barcelona!!'

Panchito laughed loudly. ' Ah, senora, you are so cute. Listen, are you free tomorrow night?'

' Yes, why?' Esmeralda smiled, already knowing what comes next

' I am going to take you on a date, a fabulous one. How about...uh...going on a boat ride date which is a new tourist attraction?'

Esmeralda had to suppress her happy squeals as she said ' Si, Panchito, I would love that. '

Panchito cheered ' Caramba! That is wonderful! I will pick you up after work. Oh, let's not tell our friends - they will...'

' Go crazy like a pack of bulls, I know, ' Esmeralda laughed loudly. ' Well,' she yawned ' I'm off to bed. It is getting late. Oh, and remember to give your reports on the actions of FOWL during recent 2 weeks at Mouseton. '

' Of course, Esmeralda, ' Panchito saluted.

After saying their goodbyes, both of them hung up. Esmeralda fell asleep like a baby, while Panchito started dancing to amorous Spanish songs via bluetooth, El Zorro being paused.
