I woke up feeling the weight of an arm around me. I opened my eyes and found myself in jungkook's embrace. I looked at the wall clock hanging right on the opposite wall and it says 7:00 am. I decided to go and make some coffee and then wake jungkook up.

I tried to get out of his hold trying not to wake him up but instead he pulled me even closer.

"Where are going?  Is it morning already?" He asked in his deep raspy sleepy voice without opening his eyes.

"Yes. Good morning! I was going to make some coffee. Would u like some?"

"Hmm." He just hummed in the response. He is still sleepy. "Sleepy head u better wake up & freshen up before I come."

I'm glad he has a coffee maker. After making coffee I placed two mugs on a tray and made my way towards his room smiling.
I entered the room and my smile vanished away.

Jungkook was blankly staring at his phone with a dark expression which I never saw before. I just stood there looking at him.

"J-jungkook?" He didn't reply. Now he is scaring me. I put the tray on the side table. "Jungkook, is everything alright?" I asked with worry all over my face. Still no answer. This is too much. I snatched his phone from his hand and read what made him act like this.

Once I started reading, tears started forming in my eyes but I held them back. I read further & further. Anger, rage, frustration taking all over me. It was an article that read:

    *KANG Y/N DATING SCANDAL*

"Kang y/n, the secret model of Gucci is found to be dating. The identity of the guy is still unknown. It is said that she is dating despite of being bound to the dating contract and went against the policies of the company.

           Actions will be taken against her for ditching the terms and conditions of the company. This may also lead to an end of her contract in the company which means she will no longer model for Gucci.

It is also found that the source which gave this news was an insider from the company who took some pics of the couple in which the face of the guy is not visible clearly.

I clenched my jaw and was about to speak but then jungkook stood up and hugged me tightly. "Don't worry y/n, we are in this together." He rubbed my back and tried to calm me down.

Suddenly my phone started buzzing. I broke the hug and looked at the ID. It was my director. I took a glance at jungkook and he nodded and I took up all my courage and answered the call.

"Hello?"

"Y/n, I want u to come and meet me at 11 at the company." He ordered. "Okay sir." And with that I disconnected the call.

"He wants me at the company by 11" I told jungkook who was desperately waiting to know. "We also need to find out that who did all this!" He exclaimed with coldness completely visible in his voice. "Once we find out, that person is surely doomed."

I got ready to leave. Jungkook offered to drop me. We reached and jungkook decided to wait for me in the car. He looks all tensed but still he is trying to cheer me up. "Don't worry, I'll manage" I assured him and gave him a small smile & stepped out of the car.  There is media at the doorsteps of the company but I ain't wearing my mask so I'll slide through without them knowing.

I finally managed to enter from that haphazard situation and made my way to directors office. I'm nervous because I know I'm at the fault and I have to agree to whatever decision he has taken for me without arguing back. With all my guts I knocked on the door and entered.

"Morning y/n. Have a seat." Director greeted.

"Good morning sir" I greeted back and took a seat in front of him.

"U must have seen all the fuss going around on the Internet and news channels right now!!" He said showing me the articles in his laptop.

"I read all of them sir and I'm- "

"I don't understand why people are so irresponsible and spread such misleading information. I'm so sorry y/n that u have to go through all this even though your contract ended a month back." 

"WHAT!!!!!!!!!!" I yelled at the top of my lungs. "WHAT DO U MEAN IT ALREADY ENDED A MONTH BACK? As far as I remember it was of two complete years and it still has 2 and a half months to end" I asked with utter confusion.

"Oh my God y/n I can't believe that u don't remember this. Our company changed our terms and conditions in January this year. In which it was clearly stated that dating bans will no longer be there and the ones with contracts will have the permission to date after 1 year and 9 months. We gave 3 months exemption. Did u not read the entire file??" He asked shocked.

Damn how can I not read such an important thing. I am soooo mad at myself right now that I can't even put it in words.

"I'm sorry for not reading it entirely and thank u so much for letting me know. And plz there is no need for apologising, I should be the one apologising for my irresponsibility." I stood up and started apologising. "And sir the one who did all this is someone really close to me who thought that my contract ends in 3 months because it was my misunderstanding. So please look upto every staff member while inquiring."

"Now our team is finding the one who spread this misleading information. It is hindering our reputation. After the news released, our stocks have seen downfall upto 8%. Once we find the person we will sue him for invading  your privacy. So don't worry, we will manage everything and give u a call once our inquiry is done." He explained.

"Thank u so much sir. I appreciate it and once again I apologise for my silly mistake."

"It's okay and don't worry we are going to release an article in your favour. U may leave now." He said assuring me.

"Thank u so much." I greeted and left the office.

Now the main thing is how am I going to face jungkook. He got worried for absolutely nothing. It is all because of me. I never knew that my laziness for not reading everything could cost me so much. I was happy that I didn't go against the rules after all but how am I going to explain my stupid mistake to jungkook.
