Hickorypelt, Violetslash, One-eye and Ashwing. Hickorypelt, Violetslash One-eye and Ashwing. Dandelionpaw repeated their names in her head.
Why am I doing this? She asked herself, impatient gor dawb to come. She hadn't managed to sleep in the nursery, though the soothing scents were dulling her senses.
She sat up and began to groom herself; she had time. The sky was beginning to lighten up, pink, golden and purple colours cast beautiful glares. After scratching her ears with her hind paws, Dandelionpaw squeazed outside. Starflame was watching the beauty.
"I was wondering when you'd come out to ponder,"her best friend meowed without looking at her,"We all do it,"
She nodded. Firethroat broke into a fit of pain filled hacking, sounding as if he needed to throw up.
"These are dark times, my friend," Starflame added,"Whitecough raging out of control and medicine cats receiving horrible signs about us,"
For a moment, Dandelionpaw was convinced that Starflame knew of Thorntail's prophecy, but instead of mentioning it, the white warrior hesitated,"Thorn-Thorntail saw something, Dandelionpaw. He saw..." she dropped her tone,"A flaming star. It-it went next to a smaller star, th-then it disappeared. He said I'd be a sacrifice to the one I advise,"
That explains the look in her eyes! "Well, who do you advise?"she prompted, a cold feeling in her belly.
"I don't know, no-no-one, I don't th-think,"Starflame stammered.
"Hmm..."Dandelionpaw stared at the rising sun, knowing but not sharing the answer.
She advises me to stand up to Rashpaw, Kitepaw, Frostedpaw and Applepaw.
She gulped inwardly, hoping that Starflame wouldn't realise that it was her.
"Dandelionpaw!"whe was saved from the awkward moment by Bugfrost, "Lightstar sent me to mentor you whilst Junipertooth suffers from greencough,"
"Greencough?"she repeated; Thorntail had said it was whitecough.
"Yeah, it got worse in the night,"her new mentor sighed, brightening up, he meowed,"We're doing battle training today! Let's go!"
Amused by the senior warrior's eagerness, Dandelionpaw managed to put Starflame's alarming sign out of her mind...for now.

"Oh come on, have you never battle trained before?"Bugfrost snorted, showing no signal of the energy that he'd balanced earlier.
"Junipertooth showed me once," Dandelionpaw complained, angry.
"Well then you should know the most basic moves!"
"I'm awful at this!"
"Yes, you are,"
Offence shot through her, though rage overthrew it.
Argh, there's some times that I want to destroy ThunderClan! She thought, though was swiftly alarmed.
Sighing, Dandelionpaw nodded. Let's get this over with.

Battle training went slow. After Dandelionpaw had failed at that, she caught a thrush but accidentally alerted a blue-tit that she'd been stalking. Bugfrost hadn't praised her once. By the time they returned to camp, the sun was setting.
Her plan had been to go straight to check on Applepaw, but, unfortunately, that failed. Thorntail had intercepted her, growling that she had to become a medicine cat. After that, the bullies had begun to torment her. Then, Starflame called her over to share a mouse. By the time she'd finished, it was completely dark. Dandelionpaw sighed.
I can't visit him now... I have to sleep...not that I'll get any.
She glanced up at the waning half moon; Thorntail would be meeting with StarClan tonight.
She sighed and retreated to the nursery. I don't want to be a medicine cat. Dandelionpaw thought miserably, I just hope Thorntail doesn't make me.
