3 Months later

Lena and Kara haven't spoken a word with each other since that night.

Kara didn't take a rest as a reporter and superhero. And would be often forced by Alex to take a rest, but as stubborn Kara is, she never does it. While Lena on the hand was 24/7 in her lab working on her projects. She is forced by Jess and Sam to take days off a few times. They can only stop her if they change the password and for Lena it will take about an hour to hack into the system. Kara had tried to visit  her multiple times but was always stopped by security. She then knew that Lena just needed space and time.

A month ago a new enemy came from nowhere, Doomsday. A powerful Kryptonian beast that was only written in legends. Supergirl had to fight him and can keep up well but there were times she got too exhausted due that eats the solar power out of her.

"Hey Kara!" Said the young reporter, Nia Nal, aka. Dreamer. "Hey Nia whats up?" The reporter faked smiled, her famous smile not going ear-to-ear. "Kara...I know you're having a hard time because of Lena and that beast Doomsday, but you need to know that you never give up, especially hope. Remember what the monitor said...You are the Paragon of Hope." Said Nia softly and gave a supportive smile to the blonde. Kara was on the verge on tearing up, but not here. "U-umm thanks Nia, it means a lot to me that you are here to help." The blonde thanked and gave a sad smile. "Anytime...but I think you should at least try see her, maybe she was able to cool down a bit." The young brunette said. "I-I don't know, I have a lot to do. I need to do this article about Doomsday and me and warn the people. I have to take care of a whole city or even more, the world, since Kal is in Argo. So I don't know if I have the time." Said the reporter exhausted. She was tired, but she can't stop, she's not allowing herself...Because when she stops her thoughts go through painful memories of Lena. Suddenly Kara's com turns on: "Kara we need you at the DEO!" Demanded Alex. "Will be right there! Oh and bye Nia good luck with your date with Brainy!" Said the heroine, before running out of her office. In a matter of seconds Kara flew into the sky, thinking what the trouble may be.

At the DEO

"What's the matter Brainy?" Questioned Alex. "There is a bomb under the Luthor children's hospital and will fuse in 5 minutes." Yelled Brainy almost. The Director tapped her com: "Kara go to the Luthor children's hospital! There is a bomb that will fuse in 5 minutes." It worried everyone that Supergirl might not defuse it on time. Everybody in the facility started to enter tap one foot or try to distract themselves with working. "Director she is already there. Police have already evacuated the building, but it has a range of over one mile. It can take 30 buildings down if it fuses!" Said Brainy worried.

Luthor children's hospital

Spergirl rushed into the building where the bomb is. "Alex there are wires with all the same color. What should I do? I can't rip it off or it will fuse directly." Kara asked through the comms, x-raying the room if she finds anything that could help "Supergirl where are the wires connected?" Asked Brainy, typing furiously on his computer. "To this huge gas tank that is flammable." Said the heroine. Brainy answered with confidence:"Cut the first wire. It should slow the time down." Kara did what she was told but the bomb did the opposite. "Brainy it got into a minute! I Have an idea." She answered through the comms and ignored Alex'es worried rambles.

The heroine use her freeze breath to build a lair of thick ice that might weigh over 5 tons. The bomb exploded, but there was no serious damage. As she got out, people were applauding her, she smiled brightly until, she saw the woman that she loved. Lena didn't even look at her, she just helped the kids and later walked away. Kara wanted to run to her so bad but she knew, she wasn't wanted. Alex replied in her comms: "Good job sis."

Days have gone by and Kara was in her loft writing a letter. She heard her door open and saw her sister walking with 3 boxes of potstickers. She gasped. "POTSTICKERS!" Kara yelled excitedly and super sped to Alex, grabbing the take out bag out f her sister's hand. "Well hello to you too." Replied Alex, with a chuckle. "Hey Alex...how's Kelly?" Asked the Kryptonian as she devoured  Potstickers. Alex smiled softly and asked: "Kelly is good...But I came to see you. How are you?" Kara frowned and sighed. "Alex...I am not okay. Not even near okay. But can you please do me a favor?" The blond asked hesitantly. "Y-Yeah sure." Answered the older Danvers, concern in her voice. Kara just kept silent a bit, till she spoke up: "If I die one day...and Lena and I aren't still in good terms. Please take care of her for me, promise me that and also give her this just in case if I don't come back home, one day." Kara handed her a letter and a box. The red head just stood there with tears in her eyes. "Kara is there something wrong? Why are you acting like like this will be your last goodbye?" The blonde had tears pouring out of her eyes. "It isn't my last, but just promise me okay? It's just in case but I will maker sure that I will still be alive. Just promise me this....please Alex." Pleaded Kara, while her voice cracked. "I-I promise Kara." Said the sobbing Danvers.

They hugged each other, as if it felt like eternity till they released. They chose to have a sister's night and watched a few movies, mostly Kara's favorites. They fell asleep on the couch, totally knocked out from their day.

The next morning Alex made breakfast for Kara and her, while her younger sister was preparing for work. As they ate their breakfast, Kara ate 2 plates stacked of pancakes in a few minutes and a third to fill her belly. After they got out and hugged each other goodbye, and separated their ways of to work.

Kara was in her office mentoring Nia about her article about fashion. "Nia your article is really good, I think you don't need my help anymore. I'm sure James will accept it." Smiled the reporter. She was really proud of Nia of how she grew up, she knows that she will become a great reporter in the future. "You think so? Well I am good because I have the best mentor in the whole city and not to mention the best superhero." Nia whispered the last part.

As they both entered James's office Kara stood there frozen. Nia saw her shocked expression and she knew why. It wasn't James in the office, it was Lena. After awkward silence in the room Nia spoke up: "Lena it's good to see you, I'm here to hand the article. And where is James?" Nia gave the report to her boss endgame her a soft smile. "Well nice to see you too Nia, James took off of work to spend time with Kelly. Apparently today is their sibling day." Said the Luthor as she got the article. She quickly read through it and was amazed how good it was, just like Kara's articles. "Nia this is a great article! I am sure who ever your mentor is must be an ace reporter." said Lena enthusiastically. Nia replied with a bright smile on her face: "Yeah...Kara is a great mentor and reporter."

Lena stood there with no emotion on her face. Always when she hears Kara's name she just shuts down, but she finally realized that Kara is in the room too. Kara had finally the courage to speak up, after having a battle in her mind: "I- U-umm Lena I'm here to send the report about Supergirl's and Doomsday's battle that happened yesterday." She slowly walked to Lena and laid it on the desk. Nia had left the room because she felt the tension between them and wanted to give them some privacy. The heroine had wanted to turn around when Lena finally spoke: "Miss Danvers, how has the hero herself been? Looks like the battle was hard." Lena asked, with a mask covering her anger. "It's Kara...and I haven't been okay nor near okay for the past months. Not because of the battle, but that I am losing a person that I loved, still love. All I wanted to do was protect the person about my identity." Said Kara as she gulped and held the tears that were to soon be pouring down.

The CEO was thinking what to say, till she said: "Well that happens to people who lie." There was pure coldness in her voice that Kara was on the verge to shut her emotions off. Kara turned around, walked out the door and without looking back: "I wish you would understand why I didn't tell you...but I just wanted to say I love you Lena Kieran Luthor and always will." Then she walked away. Her voice was so soft and pure that even Lena knew it wasn't a lie. Lena just said under her breath: "I love you too Kara Zor-El."
