"Y/nnnnnn" i heard my mom calling. It was around 11 in the morning at this point and I was still in bed.
"Whaaaaat?" I responded, still half asleep.
"Get some clothes on and come downstairs "
I did as I was told and went into my bathroom. I showered, brushed my teeth, and got dressed into this outfit -

I threw my hair in a messy bun a ran downstairs.
"What did you need?" I asked my mom
" The next-door neighbors moved last weekend and the new family moves in today. I thought it would be nice if we went over to help them unpack." she responded
"Oh okay" I said. All of our neighbors were usually families with little kids or old people with no kids, so I wasn't really looking forward to it.

"Well at least I have that to look forward to" I thought to myself
My mom and I walked over to their house and knocked on their door. A lady shortly came to the door and invited us inside.
"Hello! I'm f/n Griggs" she said in a peppy tone
"Hi! I'm f/n l/n, and this is my daughter y/n" my mom said as a waved
Then a boy who seemed around my age came down the stairs.
"Oh this is my son, Quinton" He smiled and waved.
His mom told me I could go help Quinton unpack his room since he had a lot to do. We started to unpack boxes and talked for what seemed like hours.
"Where did you move from" I asked him
"North Carolina" he replied
" Oh cool, for your parents work?"
"No actually, I'm part of the sway house and we needed to be closer to it since I come here so often"
"wait really?" I pulled out my phone and went onto tiktok and looked him up.
"damn" I said realizing who my next-door neighbor was.
"You have over 4 million followers" I said in amazement
He nodded with a goofy smile on his face.
I checked my phone to see that it was 1:50.
"Oh crap I have to go"
"wheeereee" He said in a baby voice
"My friends picking me up to go to Starbucks" I replied
"Oooo can I come?"
"If you want to, sure" I said

Y/n: I just finished helping my new neighbors unpack and they have a guy our age. Is it cool if he tags along today
B/fn: ya sure ill be there in 5
We saw her car pull up and hopped in. I introduced them to each other and luckily they got along. Quinton told us all about his tiktok life and the sway house. When we pulled up to Starbucks we all went inside, ordered, and sat down.
"Can I go get my phone from the car" Quinton asked
"Oh yeah sure" B/fn said, handing him the keys
Once he left B/fn started going off about him. (in a good way)
"You never told me he was famous and cute!!" she said with her jaw-dropping
"Haha guess I didn't notice that much"
I wasn't the type of person to fall for every guy I meet unlike her. I usually played hard to get, whether intentional, or not. I had lots of guy friends which most people would find complicated, but not me.
When we went home Quinton gave me his number and asked if we could hang out again tomorrow. I obviously said yes and went into my house. I flopped down on my bed going onto all my socials. Quinton friended me on snap, insta, and tiktok, which I was most excited about.
(I know this is a slow start but it will get better!)
