Episode 1: Chapter 4 - Something Happened

I forgot to turn off my alarm last night. Normally, I get up while it's still dark to get myself ready for soccer practice. The Regionals begin in two months and everyone is fired up for the cup. I have to get myself prepped and I got to help shape up the juniors.

Annoyingly, Dad suddenly decided to transfer me and my sister to somewhere called Morales. I didn't really understand everything but I basically got that something happened at work and we can't go to SG High anymore but I knew better. It was the Nobles – they are always behind everything.

It's dark and there's no use in leaving. If I go back to sleep, I won't ever wake up. "Might as well work out."

An hour later, while I was putting my shoes on, Dad approached me.

"Cloud, can I ask you to walk with you sister?"

"Huh?"

"Yeah bro!" Cheerfully, she jumped from behind Dad. She proceeded to sit beside me and put on her shoes.

"Why don't you just take the bus?"

"Sadly, they don't offer bus rides." Dad replied.

"Bruh! What kinda stiff-necked school doesn't give rides to students?"

"What makes you call them... um... stiff-necks?" I think she meant strict?

"Huh, didn't you see? The entrance exam was so hard that. They have to be very strict with grades and stuff, ya' know."

I don't know why she's complaining when she got an 85 – I barely got an 83. If anything, I should be the one complaining.

"Anyway, the website gave us a map. And you know how your sister is bad with maps and directions..."

"So, I have to lead her."

"Exactly!"

I sighed, "Whatever..."

"Yay! It's been so long since we've walked together."

That is true. With her terrible sense of direction, she can't read maps and can't remember places. So she takes the bus ride to school. I leave earlier so we don't really get the chance to walk together.

"Well Dad, we need to go." I leaned in to receive a kiss on the head.

"Take care you two. Don't get in trouble on the way."

That might be impossible. The map makes us pass through an area in City J where all the shady things happen. Here, the streets are filled with debtor and debtees negotiating. The strong pick on the weak. Lots of shady things happen.

Back then, this place was a normal street but since the drop of Nobles, things have changed. People who managed to suck up to Nobles got bigger egos and started asking people for things they have never owed them. I'm not expecting a quiet walk. Something will happen.

Something did happen. Four guys were ganging on a guy with a tie. They were very loud and public that we could hear them from the other side of the street. The thing that happened was my sister saw them.

"Man, just cuz they got a Noble backin them up, they think they own everyone."

"Don't mind them." We will just waste our time if we get involved. As much as I'd love to help, messing with random gangs without knowing who runs them will bring us into a lot more trouble.

"But hey, isn't that guy kinda cute?"

"Sis-?" And like that she was on the other side of the street. At least we've now got an excuse to help the poor guy.

As I walked my way towards her, she interacted with the gang. She probably said something to make them follow her. She's hot so any guy will follow her. Even at school, stares from guys wouldn't leave her.

She led the guys to an alleyway while the man with a tie stood like a deer at headlights. She probably promised something that would please the guys' lust based from her 'seductive' expression.

I waited for a bit. I could help and fight but I know she's more than capable of handling them on her on. In fact, I should just go ahead because my watch says 7:20. But, I've been itching for a fight.

"What do you want buddy?" I need no introduction. They were about to handle my sister so I had to jump in.

I socked the first guy in the face, making him keel over. I probably punched out a tooth.

"Why you!" The second guy lunged at me with a knife. I immediately went to Focus Mode and parried his wrist. I used his lunging momentum to throw him to the ground and focus my attention to a third fist flying at me.

I blocked his punch. Luckily, that gave me an opening for an upper cut. The third guy was down but the knife guy was back up. I just then noticed that the fourth guy had a gun. I focused myself on the fourth guy to stop him from pulling out that gun.

I tackled him to the wall, grabbed the gun from his pants, and threw it to the other side of the fence. Keeping him pinned on the wall, I launched a fury punches. By the fourth punch, he was already sleeping and bleeding.

I turned to the knifeman but he was already down, tangled in my sister's legs. I don't know how but she probably did something Black-Widow-like or something close to it.

I sighed. "That was disappointing."

"Ehh? What were you expecting from these scrubs?"

"You could have done it yourself, ya' know." I checked my watch. It's 7:30.

"Sis, let go or we're going to be late."
