Baxter's nap made him feel somewhat refreshed, but he still had a lot to worry about. In his room, there was at least one or two air vents. They were only used for air conditioning and they were not ventilation shafts that suck out chemical gasses. He looked to one of the circular windows and an unsure idea blinked from his angler light. He grabbed the chair in his room and started smashing one of the windows.

"This is stronger than I thought! I! Need! You! Open!"
*breaks one of the windows*
"Oh, That went well!"

He put the chair down and tried to breathe out fresh air but remembered that the atmosphere was usually sulfurous and full of brimstone. And if a storm came or if it was too cold, the broken window would invite it all in.
"*sigh* what was I thinking?"
A few knocks were heard on the door.
"Baxter? I heard you yelling and then some glass breaking. Can I clean up any mess you've made?"
"Uhh, n-no! I already cleaned it."
"It's my job to clean around this hotel, you don't have to do it. I'm walking in anyway. Get ready!"
As soon as the door unlocked, Baxter blocked the door and held as much weight against it.
"Baxter? Are you behind the door?!"
"Nnnnoooo...t-there is luggage right by...the door!" Baxter grunted.
"Then w-why do you s-sound so close to the...door?!" Niffty grunted back.

When an unstoppable force meets an immovable object, things go nowhere.
Wait, why am I thinking of physics right now? Baxter thought as he was still budging on the door.

"Baxter...I am required to get...in! If you l-let me i-in, I'll give you...your blazzer c-coat back!" Niffty grunted again.

"Fine!" As soon as Baxter agrees, he rushes backwards from the door. While thinking that he was safe and out of harm from Niffty's force, he ran into a chair behind him and tripped over it.

"Ach! Oh God..." he grunted and groaned feeling like the whole day was scheduled to ridicule him.

"Oh my Gosh! Baxter, are you okay?"
Niffty rushed to his face and kneeled down to check his face. She cupped his face out of the rush of feelings and locked eyes for a second. He shook his head in annoyance, making her hands let go.

"Ugh, I'm fine! Of course I'm okay! Just a simple trip." Baxter tried to play it cool while he was holding his leg in comfort and limped to his couch. He plopped down and watched as Niffty went to the broken circular window. "What happened here?"

"A demon threw a rock into my window, so I threw the rock and some of the glass back out the window."

"Hmm, you should have let me deal with the glass pieces, but oh well. This isn't something I could easily fix. C'mon, I'll give you your blazzer back." Niffty smiled to him as she waved her hand signaling him to go forward.

"You want me to come to you?" He pointed to her. "Why don't you just give me my blazzer back? I'm still injured and I can barely walk." Baxter took his hand back and crossed his arms.

"I thought you said you were fine and that it was a simple trip?" Niffty questioned him.

How did? Nevermind, she has a point.
He sighed and agreed. "Okay, you got me there...Show me the way."

"Heehee!" Niffty clapped a little to the fact that she won in this little fight. He's so cute, I think I saw him blush a little when I held his face. Alright, time to go.
"I'm happy that you chose to come along." She walked beside him with her hands tied behind her. "Good for you." Baxter responded with a monotone attitude. They had an awkward silence for a few seconds until Niffty couldn't take it.
"So, what is your occupation?"
"My occupation? I am a very skilled professional chemist."
"Like a pharmacist?"
"Not exactly." Baxter rolled his eyes at the thought of him being a pharmacist.
"Oh, so you do bad stuff, huh?" Niffty said with a mischievous attitude. She squinted and smiled even more, Leaning a bit closer to his face.
"Yes, I do bad stuff." Baxter didn't know exactly how to react to this but he had to admit that he didn't use his chemistry knowledge for good.
"So do you, like...make poison or drugs?"
"I...something like that."
"Do you make drugs for Angel Dust?"
"You mean that perverted spider? Never for that degenerate drug addict!"
"Woah! Okay!" Niffty was surprised by his sudden snap. It was something she never heard from him so far, but it was quite interesting.

They were now at the bottom floor, the laundry room was a room that was on the same level of the lobby, Where many of the staff demons hanged around at. Which would be: Charlie, Vaggie, Alastor, and Husk. Charlie of course, sought Baxter first before anyone and ran up to him. The demon princess smiled down at them and then squatted down to the two shorter demons. "Hey guys, I love that you two decided to join us! Do you two have any questions?" Charlie asked in her bubbly manner. "Actually Ms. Magne, I'm just showing Baxter the laundry room, that's all." Niffty waved it off and pointed to the direction of the laundry room. "Oh, okay! If there's any questions, come to me. And just call me Charlie, you guys."
"I know." Niffty waved back as she led Baxter to their destination. She walked over to a rack of clothes and pulled out a coat hanger with his blazzer hanging on it. "TA-DA! Clean and Fresh for you!"
She presented it as if it were a prize that he won for winning a race, waving her hand around it in circles slowly.
"Thanks, I guess..." Baxter was about to grab it from her when she held out her hand, signaling him to stop. "Hold out your arms, Baxy."
Baxy? Why on Earth would she give me that kind of name? Baxter thought but his arms did exactly what she wanted. Niffty slipped his coat on for him, even bending his arm a little just to get both arms in and on him. She then began tucking around the front of his coat, adjusting everything up front so he would look presentable, and then finally resting her hands on his shoulders. "Please don't do that." Baxter snapped her out of her daydream as she stared into his eyes again, with a relaxed half-lidded eye. "Oop! I'm sorry Baxter! My mind was somewhere else."
Yeah, somewhere beautiful with just us two. And was there another blush on his face again? Oh yeah, now I'm definitely updating my friendfiction!

They walked out of the room not saying a word. "Oh, Baxter?" Charlie called out to him. "Yes? What is it now?" He answered in a slightly annoyed tone.
His answer had now seemed to have got the attention of Alastor who was still in the lobby. In a negative way. It was most likely how he responded to Charlie, with his attitude he gave off. He then paid attention to Charlie now to see if she would be upset, which would then likely make him upset. He stared with his cautious killer eyes and listened with his ears pricked up towards her. "I never got your full name. What was it again? Sorry if I'm bothering you alot lately."
"Baxter Friedrich Fischer". He spoke back fast and walked away. He was done with the day and he needed to get back to his room.

"His name, sounds so familiar. No, it can't be!" Alastor spoke to himself but also wanted others to hear as he raised his voice on the second sentence.

"Wait. What's wrong Al?" Charlie asked worried.

"Al? You called him Al?" Vaggie was feeling suspicious again.

"Baxter Fischer, he WAS AN ENEMY OF HUMANITY!" Alastor snapped and lost his smile a bit, but got it back as he saw Charlie's face again.

At first, I was having some writing block because I don't have this story planned as well as 'A Hundred Before' but I just went with what I wanted for the main focus and just rolled with it.
