ships: analogical agere? this is a new pairing that isn't prinxiety, lamp, or logicality.

background info needed: Logan and Virgil are dating outside of Vee's regression, and the others all know about both Virgil regressing, and their relationship.

Summary: Logan knows that whenever Virgil breaks a rule, it's reassurance central for him, because otherwise, Virgil feels absolutely terrible the whole day, for whatever small thing he did. So when Virgil breaks one of his rules, Logan has to find a way to both make it clear what he did wrong, and make sure he doesn't feel super guilty.

--

Virgil was in trouble. Well, kind of. Logan wasn't gonna punish him, probably. He was gonna lightly scold him, but that was enough to make the mentally toddler-aged boy burst into tears. Virgil stood in the kitchen of the core-sides home, holding a stuffed bear tightly in his arms as he waited for Logan to come into the kitchen from the commons.

What did Virgil do exactly? Well, not much, actually. He was just scared because he broke a rule at all. He looked over at the list of rules Logan made for him back when he first became his caregiver. The first rule was where his offence landed.

1. Don't shout, hit, or throw things at anyone. Anger is something we can deal with otherwise.

That rule was only put in place after Logan realized it was easy to piss him off, even while he was little. If something happened that upset him, there would be a few seconds where that's all he was. He'd forget the consequences and throw a small fit right then and there. This time, Roman was the victim to it.

Virgil couldn't even remember what made him upset originally, all he knew was that he was scared. Why did he do that? That was dumb.

He felt so stupid, and very, very guilty. He was close to tears from the anxious thoughts alone. Daddy was gonna be so angry. Virgil reached into the front pocket of his overalls, pulling out an adult pacifier he hadn't been using before. He knew that when there were things going on, Logan would pop the pacifier into the baby's mouth, and hold him close.

Reassure him that even though things might be overwhelming, he was gonna be okay. Virgil softly placed it in his mouth. If it could calm him down when there was too much noise, too much chaos, it could calm him down when he was emotional and scared, right?

Virgil remembered what Roman had done. Virgil had spent a while stacking brightly colored blocks in a specific pattern, which he found really pretty. This was all in the commons just a few minutes prior.

Roman had knocked down Virgil's block tower, but that's not what made him shout. It was when Roman tried to help, restacking the blocks in a completely different order. Virgil tried to tell him to just stop it, and that he could redo it. Roman was doing it wrong. Logan let him be, because he knew Roman was really just trying to help. He didn't mean to knock it over in the first place.

Roman insisted that he helped, offering to help him make a new pattern. Virgil snatched the block that had been in his left hand away, almost throwing it at his chest. Virgil stopped himself this time, not wanting to badly hurt him in any way. He put the block down, taking the other one from his other hand. He repeated that he'd do it himself, that Roman didn't know the pattern. Logan had scolded him and made him apologize for taking the blocks from Roman, and Virgil had done so.

But Roman went to grab another block. This is when Virgil got really annoyed, yanking it from his hand and hitting his arm somewhat harshly. That's when Logan stepped in again, sending Virgil to the kitchen to wait for him. Virgil was already apologizing guiltily before Logan had said a word. The moment his mind processed what he had done, the guilt and afterthought of "I'm in trouble" hit.
