Summary: Virgil has been in littlespace for three days, having crashed after a panic attack. Logan knows that this is his mind's way of responding to the panicked state healthily, so he cares for Virgil just as he usually would. During the last day of his longer-than-usual headspace stretch, Virgil realizes how lucky he is to have Logan.

--

Logan was only a bit worried about Virgil staying in littlespace for so long. Yeah, Virgil regressed for fun sometimes, but if he needed to use the soft headspace as a way to get away from his worries for a while, then he can and should. It's been three days, and Virgil has stayed in his headspace the whole time. Sometimes he'd be at different ages, but it was always within the younger end of his usual toddlerspace.

Thomas had also reported less anxiety overall, so this response Virgil was having to stress and extreme anxiety was also helping him. "Okay, Baby Vee, repeat after me?" Logan sat with Virgil in the boys bedroom, looking at him. Virgil sat in his pajama shorts and a t-shirt he stole from Logan, holding a stuffed bear. He tilted his head and waited for his Daddy to continue.

"Daddy loves you," Logan began.

"Daddy loves me,"

"Even if you broke a rule." Logan finished.

"Even if I broke a rule," Virgil looked down, pouting a bit.

"Now say it all together, baby." Logan instructed.

"I'm sorry!" Virgil squeezed the bear in his arms, completely missing the whole point of that conversation. Logan sighed, sitting down next to him and hugging him. What Virgil had done wasn't even that bad, and Logan didn't even really scold him, but the baby still felt bad that he did it.

"I'm not upset, at all, baby boy." Logan repeated. He had learned to be patient with Virgil, he got anxious and the best he could do was reassure him. Virgil whined a bit and cuddled into Logan's chest. Logan kissed his forehead lightly.

"Didn't listen, bad baby," Virgil looked up at him.

"No, you're an angel baby. You just didn't want to pick up your toys, so you refused and stomped your foot. It was two seconds of brattiness and I really don't mind dealing with it, don't feel so bad, baby." Logan could almost laugh at the situation. Virgil rarely ever did things like that, and the second he did, he felt terrible. He was just being a kid, responding how someone around the age of his current headspace would.

"Angel baba?" Virgil's voice got littler, and he tilted his head.

"You're a very good little," Logan elaborated. Virgil smiled at this.

"It's getting late. I think it's bath time for a certain baby.." Logan moved off the bed, making sure Virgil wasn't leaning on him as much when he moved. Virgil followed Logan around as he gathered his stuff for a bath. For the majority of the bath, he played, and splashed, and giggled. And Logan would tell him not to get water on his caregiver, but entertain is silly antics nonetheless.

Eventually though, as Logan was washing the conditioner out of his hair, and helping him dry off, Virgil's childish voice was starting to fade. He was naturally coming out of his multi-day regression, pulling on the sweatpants and t-shirt himself. Logan let him be independent, pulling out toothpaste and other hygienic things so they were ready when Virgil was done getting dressed.

"How are you feeling, Virge?" Logan asked, speaking softly still as Virgil rinsed his purple toothbrush and moved to put toothpaste on it.

"Pretty good," he didn't elaborate. They stood in a slightly awkward silence while Virgil brushed his teeth. When he was done, he handed Logan the honey face cream. Logan smiled, silently taking the offer to help him.

"Thank you...for taking care of me, and everything," Virgil mumbled as Logan applied the cream to his face.

"It's just what good daddies do, honey," Logan was still in caregiver mode, rubbing the cream into his cheeks. Virgil gave him a look that said 'I'm not little anymore'. "Sorry," Logan chuckled, "I've been in caregiver mode for a couple days."

Virgil smiled. "I needed that, though. It really helped. I had a panic attack and I was stressed out-" Logan cut off his slightly panicky tone.

"Virgil, I understand. That's what your age regression is for, remember? To help you when you need it. Yes, regressing for days at a time may not be ideal, but that's what I'm here for. To help you until you feel okay again," Logan grabbed the towel Virgil had been using, and ran the corner of it under the faucet.

"Thanks again, Lo. You're the best," Virgil let Logan wipe his face down. It was weird seeing him without eyeshadow. He insisted on wearing it while big, but while he was little, he never reapplied it.

"No problem. It's what good boyfriends do," Logan made sure to correct himself, the two of them chuckling as Logan wiped his face. Virgil took the towel and dried his face off himself. He touched his cheek and felt his skin, which was always very soft after using the face creme. He brushed his hair back, so it was out of the way until it was dry.

Logan wrapped his arms around his waist from behind as Virgil looked in the mirror. Logan kissed his cheek lightly. Virgil yawned a little. "I know you're no longer regressed, but you are tired. How about we still head to bed?"

Virgil didn't fight him, nodding a bit and leaning into his arms. "I need a lot of rest if I wanna get back to making Thomas anxious about everything," He joked. Logan lightly rolled his eyes, leading Virgil out of the bathroom and nudging him towards the bed. Virgil climbed into bed, letting Logan spoon him from behind.

And as Virgil drifted to sleep, he thought about how lucky he was to have Logan as his boyfriend and caretaker. He took care of him, and didn't try to pull him out of littlespace, for three days. He paused his work to focus on Virgil for a couple days when he really needed it.

Logan would always be there for him, whether it be to reassure regressed Virgil, or to help big Virgil organize his room. He'd be there, no matter what.
