Christa:
Jace entered without hesitation. I sat at the edge of my bed.
"What did Madz do this time?" He said as he sat beside me.
"You remember before she left, she told me something. She... she told me to never join a band. She..." I hesitated for a brief moment, realizing I can't say it. I cried even more.
Jace patted my back. "Let it out."
Speak of the devil, Maddie entered my room. "Jace? Don't baby her, Jace. You're spoiling her too much."
I just gasped as those words come slipping out of her mouth. But Jace stood up. "Madz. You know what, ever since you went to England, you became someone we don't know. And you became a bossy, possesive woman I don't recognize. So as your elder brother, I am not telling you to change. I'm telling you to fix your attitude."
Maddie just stared at him, biting her lip. "Jace, she broke her promise. She-"
"It's what she wants, for pete's sake Madeline! You don't need to control her. She's not the same Christa that always follows whatever you tell her." I could feel Jace's anger heating up.
Mom and Dad are gone out. They're buying stuff for the school fest. Yes, they're the president and vice of our school's Parent-Teacher Association.
"But-"
"Not another word Jane. You know what I mean."
Maddie looked at me and left. Jace did the same. He knew I need sometime alone. Then my phone rang. It was... Gab.
"Hello?"
"Christa! Thank heavens you're fine."
"What's up?"
"Well, me and the gang are so worried. We heard your screaming backstage. Something about you... going to England. Is this true?"
I couldn't imagine his expression, rarely being sad because he's so optimistic.
"Maddie's forcing me to go." I managed to say.
"Are you?"
...
-Ding dong-
"Because if you need help, we're right out here for you."
I stumbled to my window, slid open the curtains and saw the gang outside my house. Gab was smiling widely.
"So, are you going?"
I jumped, forgetting that the call was still connected.
"I guess not." I replied.
Gab smiled, ruffling his tousled brown-black hair and ending the call. They went in my house.
-Knock knock-
"Come in guys."
But it was just Gab.
"Where're the rest?" I said, shifting in my bed.
"Downstairs, waiting for the damsel."
I laughed. He held his hand and I took it. He led me down t he stairs and the gang clapped, Patrick whistling. I didn't even notice tears were falling. That made the gang stop.
"Are you okay Christa?" Andrew asked.
I smiled reassuringly and said, "Yup!".
