Nick floated down, landing on his feet, looking at the spot where Ignotus once stood. Smurfette ran over to him, making sure he was alright.
"Yeah, I'm okay," he said, exhausted, "you?"
"Yep," she said, looking on as well, "you did it, you won!"
"Well, if it wasn't for you, I wouldn't have a reason to," he said with a smile
She smiled, too, and the two embraced each other, holding each other tight for a moment. Nick then spotted Ignotus's hilt still lying impaled into the ground. He went over and picked it up, still looking at the blade color.
"I can fix that," Nick said, as he closed his eyes, and slowly the purple glow faded and the blue color returned to the blade.
"So you keeping that?" Smurfette asked, curious.
"Yep, it was lost like me, but not anymore."
She smiled again, and then all the other Smurfs appeared and ran right towards them
"They're okay!" Blossom yelled, excitedly.
They all ran up to them, embracing them in a big group hug.
"Nice skills, rookie," Stormy noted.
"Did you beat him?" Hefty asked.
"Is he gone?" Clumsy asked.
"Yeah," Nick explained, "I banished him to another realm, and without his magic, he won't be getting out anytime soon."
Papa and Willow came up, relieved to see both Smurfette and Nick were alright. They hugged them both, all four of them in a big embrace.
"You Smurfs never cease to surprise me," he said to the two of them.
"Thanks, Papa," said Smurfette as she looked at Nick.
"And just for the record," Papa said, "when it comes to your relationship..."
The two looked at each other nervously, thinking what he said next wouldn't be good.
"I would advise that you two don't rush into it and take your time. That's all."
"Really?" they asked at the same time, surprised.
"Yeah, you two are great together. Don't lose that."
They looked at each other, then Papa. "We won't," they told him.
"I know," he told them.
Nick then turned to Smurfette.
"So what should we do now?" he asked her.
"I have an idea," she said with a smile.
"Which is?" he said, interested.
She then leaned in and kissed him, right in front of everyone.
"Ooh," they all said, but Nick and Smurfette didn't care about that, not anymore.
After that, a little blue light appeared. Nick walked over to it, recognizing the sight.
"Mallorca," he said, astounded.
"Well done, boy," he said hovering down to Nick, "you have rid the realm of Ignotus for good, and you have unlocked your true power. Your mother would be proud."
"Well," Nick said, looking back at his friends, "I had a little help,"
"Indeed, your friends helped make you strong, and they allowed you to find the courage to embrace who you are."
He put his hand on Nick's shoulder, looking at him in the eye.
"Now that you have unlocked your true power, you can now travel between the realms, from here to any other. Which means you can return home, unless, of course, you prefer to stay here with the others. Do you?"
Nick looked around at them, and then at Smurfette, before finally turning back to Mallorca.
"Yes," Nick said, "and I'll do my best to protect them along with everyone else among the realms."
"I know you will, but before I go, there's one last thing I must do," he said, gesturing for me to kneel.
I did so. Mallorca pulled forth one of the hilts and extended it into a blade, holding it upright.
"Do you swear to safeguard the realms and all they stand for?" Mallorca asked.
"I do," I responded.
"Do you swear to stay your magic from the innocent and preserve the goodwill amongst them."
"I do."
"Do you swear to spread the mission of unity among realms, to prevent the vibrant worlds from falling into chaos?"
"I do."
"And lastly, do you swear to do so till death, whatever the cost?"
Nick looked back, and the others nodded. This was his future, his path.
"I do," he said for everyone to hear.
"Then by the light of people, by the will of the realms, you may rise Nicholas Stayne."
He rose to he feet, facing the wizard.
"You are now The Sorcerer Smurf, a champion of the realms and a harbinger of peace," the wizard said, giving him back the blade, "never be afraid of who you are."
Then he faded away, finally at peace.
Nick turned back to the others, who all celebrated their freedom from Ignotus. Nick held Smurfette close to himself, and they looked at each other, certain that whatever happened next was going to be fun.
