chapter VII - the bait

-Sebastian's POV-

She let out a loud moan as I felt her nails digging onto my back, her body tensing as she was on the height of her orgasm.When her body relaxed in my grasp, I removed myself from her and lie on the bed, letting out a breath as my back hit the mattress.

"Hmm" she mumbled, as I felt her fingers on my chest and her legs started to tangle with mine. I immediately sat up on the bed and moved myself to the edge of it so my back was facing hers.

"You may leave now." I ordered. There was a slight pause.

"You know, I can be your mate for the mean ti-"

"Leave." I growled lowly. I can feel her eyes staring onto my back. She let out a sigh with a mix of disappointment and annoyance. I felt the bed moved lightly as she stood up. Once dressed, she left the room silently.

Cuddling after sex wasn't allowed. It also means one thing, it makes one person get attached to the other. And it was never my plan to get attached with her, nor was I expecting myself to be. Elaine was only temporary, she knew the rules of this game. She knows that once I find my mate, she has to go.

There was no denying that her body has got all the curves in the right places and how she moves the right way when she's on bed. But one thing I do know is that women tend to get clingy. Clingy wasn't my taste at all, it involves whining and complaining and the need for attention.

It was best to stay this way.

I stood up and walked to the shower room. Turning it on to the warm setting, I let out a sigh as the warm water hits my hair, running to my back.

Once I got dressed after the shower, I left the room and headed downstairs. I stopped in my tracks when I picked up a familiar scent. It wasn't the scent of one of my pack members, nor was it her scent.

'Alpha' Malcolm mindlinked me.

Before he can even explain, I was already out of the packhouse. Several people circled around three heads. Once my pack saw me, they were divided into two for me to have a path.

I saw one of my pack members, Adrian, who was reported to be missing 3 days ago. We tried to find him, but we couldn't pick up his scent nor mindlink him to where he was located. Now here he was, with two women with him. One unfamiliar blonde girl and one familiar scent.

My eyes zeroed on the brunette with the same sharp look as her Alpha. It was my mate's Beta. With her was a petite blonde, and judging from her behavior and body language, she was Adrian's mate.

"Alpha." Malcolm called out, standing beside me. "They're from the-"

"The Silver Moon pack." I finished his sentence. Her gaze was strong as well as her composure. "I know." I said quietly, my eyes glinting with amusement.

The Moon Goddess indeed made our worlds collide again but not directly. She wasn't here, and I know for a fact, she chose not to be here. Instead, she brought her beta to represent her pack.

Let's see how this game is played. It's my move now.

The brown haired girl cleared her throat and took a step forward. "Alpha Sebastian." She bowed her head lightly.

"I am Reyna Valdez, the Beta of the SilverMoon Pack." She introduced herself, placing her hand on her chest.

"We came here to escort, Lyca.." she gestured to the petite blonde, "...our pack member who happens to find her mate, Adrian in the woods." She explained. "For safe travel and formal endorsement from one pack to the other, we came here to bring them to you."

"And why would her beta and not the Alpha endorsed her pack member to me?" I questioned, raising my eyebrows.

"As the second warrior in charge of the pack next to the Alpha, I am entitled to also endorsed whoever should be  transferred." She replied, eyebrows starting to furrow.

"As our pack is exclusive for women only, it is forbidden for Adrian to join, nor is he welcomed by my Alpha, and my sisters. There's no other choice but to accept, Alpha Sebastian." She added, her voice already demanding me to abide.

Usually, if someone in my pack acted the way she demanded to me right now, they would go over a week of punishment. But today, that wasn't my goal. So, I simply let it pass.

"I accept." I stated, without any further arguments. A plan was slowly creeping into my mind. I already mindlinked Malcolm what to do and he agreed. This was a way for me to meet her and my wolf was desperate.

Reyna was watching my every move cautiously studying me. "Adrian, escort your mate to your room, and show her around the packhouse." I ordered. He nodded. He took her hand and they went inside the house.

"I believe we're done here, Alpha." She raised her hand for me to shake it.

I lifted my hand as well, meeting hers . "I believe we're not."

And just as I've said that, Malcolm was instantly behind her along with four other men.

"What the f-" Her eyes widened as each man held each of her limb, preventing her escape. Judging from her reaction, she was strong as she shook furiously. My pack members had a hard time surpressing her strength. Hunter, another pack member of mine brought along a silver collar.

This was to prevent her from shifting and running away, not to harm her. Although it seeps out the strength of a wolf, it would take days to weeks for her to become severely weak, but it would only take only minutes for her Alpha to respond and come here.

Hunter applied it around her neck and she almost bit his hand off. "She's rabid alright." He joked, yanking his hand away.

When the collar soon was attached, the boys already handled her with ease, that only two of them was holding her wrists. Even with her strength slowly fading, she still had the strength to speak.

"You'll regret doing this." She growled.

"She's gonna come for me and kill everyone in your pack starting with you!" She spatted.

"That's the point." I chuckled. "She's gonna come and you're the bait." If looks could kill, I should already be buried six feet below.

But the Moon Goddess has created a way for me to meet my mate again, and I'll do whatever it takes to grab that opportunity.

It was her move now.

I had nothing to do in the house so I just finished writing another chapter within half a day.
Maybe I was motivated of the fact that my story ranked #210? 😅
