As the next few days passed Sarah was still unsure about what to do. Troy was giving her space, and both Claire and Roger were respectfully trying not to sway her one way or another. It was Friday night once again and Sarah was studying at the back of the library with Roger, as per the usual routine.
"Have you heard from Troy at all since Tuesday?" Roger randomly asked.
"Not a word." Sarah replied. Which was painfully true. Troy had stopped texting her, looking at her, trying to get her attention in class. He had stopped all contact whatsoever.
"That's odd," Roger muttered turning back to his homework. Roger had been acting strange all night. From what Sarah could tell he still had not written an actual full thought down in his notebook, despite claiming he was almost done.
"Rog are you failing to tell me something that you know," Sarah said starting to get frustrated when her phone chimed. It was sitting above her notebook on the table.
>> Hey Beautiful. I have missed you
Sarah glance up at Roger who was smirking to himself when her phone chimed again.
>> Pack up your books and meet me outside the library.
>> You have 5 minutes before I make a scene.
Sarah stared at Roger, before demanding, "What the hell is going on?"
"Just pack your stuff and go." He laughed already having packed his bag. "I'll drop your books off in your room for you."
Sarah sighed, "I don't know what this is, but your going to pay for it."
"I doubt it." He laughed. "By the way we are doing movie night tomorrow night. Your dorm. Claire already knows."
"Am I in the loop on anything anymore?" Sarah questioned rolling her eyes. They were now standing just outside the doors to the library.
"That's what happens when you live inside your head for a week." Roger smiled tapping Sarah's forehead, turning towards Troy, who was standing on the bottom steps, "Mr. Maxwells," Roger puffed out his chest, trying to look intimidating. Clearing his throat, he deepened his voice, "you are going to take good care of her tonight I presume?" Sarah punched Roger in the arm.
"Yes dad." Troy rolled his eyes. "I can't promise to have her back by curfew though."
"What?" Sarah growled now turning towards Troy, "I am not going any where with you then. I will not miss curfew again." She firmly sat down on the top step, in protest.
"Now you two kids have fun." Roger laughed, running down the steps. At the bottom he placed one hand on Troy shoulder muttering, "Good luck." Before he disappeared into the evening.
Sarah glanced back at Troy who was still standing near the bottom steps of the library. Crossing her arms she glared at him, "I'm not kidding. Hunter is still giving me a hard time about it. Turns out your window plan wasn't so secret."
