2; sunburn
the large wood door slowly closed as himari snuck back into the mansion. the sun was setting as himari had been out all day. she threw her large sun hat aside and set the many shopping bags down. the pinkette placed her hands on her back and bent backwards, her spine popping satisfyingly.
"and where were you" shu said from the couch just behind the younger sibling.
"EEP!" she exclaimed. "don't scare me like that, jeez!" himari straightened out her shirt. "i was uh...out."
"in broad daylight?" shu raised an eyebrow.
"well obviously." himari bent down to pick up the abundance of shopping bags. she squeeze all the handles in her hand and turned around.
shu appeared standing before the girl. he brought up himari's hand, the plastic bags loudly swishing. "you're lightly burned."
himari yanked back her hand and grazed over it with her slim fingers. "it's nothing i'll put some cream on it." and turned around.
himari began walking to her room. her palms were now red from the many many mall bags and her shoulders itched from the burn. walking she heard shu's soft steps follow her. she ignored the swishing of his baggy clothes.
she reached her room and opened the door with frail fingers. himari plopped the bags on the ground and jumped on her bed.
she slid out of her dress and under the large comforter. she felt a weight dip in the bead.
shu wrapper his long arms around his sister and pulled her close. shu fell asleep in a matter of minutes while himari picked at her sunburnt skin.
