The gang stood dumbfounded as they looked at the unconscious man who was caught by the night fury. The weapons in their hands were now loosely held and they exchanged a few looks.

"Who the Thor is Toothless?" Ruffnut scratched her head.

"Uhhh. I think he meant his night fury." Fishlegs pointed to the dragon cautiously.

"But it most definitely isn't toothless." Snotlout pointed out. The night fury turned its head to them, its big round black orbs staring straight at them.

"You know, you gotta admit it looks kinda cute." Tuffnut said.

"You couldn't be more right, my brother. It does look very cute, on contrary to whatever we think about it. And it shows that they don't just go for the kill. I mean, we are all in one piece right now, aren't we." Ruffnut stated.

Fishlegs slowly advanced towards the night fury, who had just climbed down the rock and lay the unconscious man against the rock. It turned towards Fishlegs and growled menacingly. Fishlegs jumped in fright and stopped walking.

"Is that Hiccup?" He pointed at the unconscious man and asked the night fury. The night fury stared for a while, as if contemplating to tell him, and then it nodded, its eyes dilating to show that he was not hostile.

"So it really is Hiccup." Astrid murmured as she walked up to Fishlegs. The night fury nodded again.

"If Hiccup wasn't killed by the night fury, then he must have run away. So why did he run away?" Fishlegs asked the dragon again. The dragon walked past both vikings to the drawing of the night fury Hiccup had made in the soil. He used his stubby paw to point at it, and stared back at the vikings with its cute, round eyes.

"Is it because we treated him so badly? And bullied him?" Tuffnut asked. The night fury shook its head.

"No. He left to protect the night fury." The night fury nodded at Fishlegs statement. Then walked back to where its rider was and curled around him, closing its eyes and falling asleep.

"So what now?" Tuffnut asked.

"I have no idea." Astrid sighed. The boy she loved so much was right in front of her this whole time. But she tortured him. Into insanity. She sat down by a rock and buried her head in her knees.

"Oh I'll give you an idea. Leave my brother alone." Hannah snarled as she dropped down from the skies from Windshear. She landed between the gang and Hiccup. Astrid stood up and faced her.

"Your brother?" Fishlegs' eyes widened.

"Erh. Yeah. Long story. But I would suggest that you leave him alone. For good." She threatened as she pointed her flaming sword at them.

"But he's the heir! Or the lost heir! He needs to come back." Snotlout exclaimed.

"No he doesn't. His life was fine. Until you came in the picture."

"But he was from Berk." Astrid pointed out.

"He lost 15 years of his memory. He only has his memory from the past 6 years. The past 6 years without Berk." Heather landed with Windshear and pointed her double headed axe at them.

"But-"

"No. We are going. And if you tell the chief, I'll have to kill you." Hannah growled and walked towards Toothless. There were 4 nadder hatchlings walking cautiously towards the alpha.

"Shh. Go back to Windshear. Toothless wake up, you useless dragon." The nadders ran towards Heather, who picked them up one by one and placed them in a basket they stole from the village.
