Aubree

"Yo Bree, have you seen my red chucks?" Lexx asks me while I put my straight hair up into a bun. Today is our first day of school and we need to look our best.

"No ma'am. But you should wear your white wedges instead. It'll define your legs more and give you height." I say smirking.

"You know what? You and Ray gone get enough of talking about my height." She says pointing her newly red polished nails at me. I swear if she wasn't my sister, I'd think everything about her was fake. Its like she just too gorgeous to be true.

"Dont be mad sis. Besides, you're not that short. 5"5 is right in the middle. Plus its not our fault that we're 5"7 & 5"8. " I say standing and looking at myself in the full length mirror. My outfit was on point and so was Lexx's. She had on some acid washed high waisted shorts with a white crop top that had red lips on it with her curly hair down and flowing pulled back a little by her red bandana and her white wedged tennis with spikes. I had on a black and pink flower skirt, black fitted crop top and silver toms and my hair in a perfect bun with a flower headband.

"Its 7:05. We need to be there by 7:30 to get our schedules and stuff worked out." She says grabbing her phone and bookbag. I grab mine and we both head out.

"Well look at my baby sisters." Ray says smirking. "Y'all better not be getting too friendly with them boys or somebody getting an ass whooping!" He says laughing.

"Ray leave your sisters alone." Mom says walking up to him playfully smacking the back of his head. I giggle and hug mom. "You three have a good day alright?" She says kissing our heads.

"Yes ma'am." We all say in unison.

"Where's Shaun?" Lexx asks before we head out.

"Oh, he had to get an early start this morning. But he sends his love to you all. I'll be leaving out in a few to get some grocery shopping done. But go ahead before you run behind schedule. Love y'all." She yells as we head for the car.

"Love you!" We yell back. We get settled and Ray starts the car. I look back at Lexx and giggle. She rolls her eyes.

"Dont talk to me. You know damn well I wanted to sit in the front." She says causing me to burst out laughing.

"Being the baby comes with its own treatments." Ray says laughing.

"By a minute!" Lexx yell and puts her headphones in. Oh how we love messing with her.

"So Bree. You ready to finish out Senior year strong?" Ray asks when we stop at a red light.

"Yep. We both are." I say sighing. Hopefully we can make it out of our last semester with high hopes. Lexx and I both applied for Spellman and UCLA. We really wanna get away.

"I got some good news when we get home though. Just wait on it. Y'all are gonna flip." Ray says pulling into the school parking lot. Woah, this school is huge. "Damn." Ray says looking around the campus.

"Dang. This is our school?" Lexx asks in awe.

"Yep, this is it." Ray says parking. We all get out and look around. People walk by and look at us. Some smile and some mug us. Oh boy. "Lets go." We follow Ray across the lot and into the school. When we walk in I nearly faint. This school is beautiful!

"Woah. This school is amazing." Lexx says looking around. People stare at us as we walk down the hall looking for the office. "There it is." Lexx says pointing across the hall. We walk over and go to the front desk.

"Goodmorning ma'am. We're the transfer students from New York." Ray says to the secretary.

"Oh hello dears!" She says looking up. "I'm Mrs. Jackson, the secretary. You all are the Smiths. I've heard so much about your family, and I must say that you children are very intelligent. Only 15 & seniors must be quite a thrill." She says looking at Lexx and I. "Well here are your schedules." She says handing them to Ray. He hands us ours and we skim them. "Have a great first day!" She says as we exit. The bell rings and kids scatter to get to class.

"So my homeroom is Physics." Ray says. "In room 215, which must be upstairs along with my locker. So I'll catch you two later." He says kissing our heads. "Text me if you need me." He yells as he heads up the stairs.

"I have African American Lit as my homeroom." Lexx says as the second bell rings. Well we're pretty late. "Its room 127. Right down the hall."

" I'm two down from you in Drama." I say. "We're sharing a locker right?" I ask as we head down the hall to our classes.

"You know it." She says smiling. We'll go later since its upstairs. "And here's my stop." She says looking at me. "Have a good first day twin."

"You too twin." I say smiling at her. She turns around and walks into the classroom and I head to mine. I take a deep breath and walk in. The teacher looks at me and smiles.

"Well you must be one of the Smiths. Aubree if I lm correct. One of our youngest Seniors. Only 15 years old." She says smiling.

"Yes ma'am. Thats me." I smile.

"Well its a pleasure to meet you. Im Mrs. Heart. You can take a seat right up front next to Ms. Powers. Jala raise your hand please." A girl with caramel skin and pretty light brown eyes raises her hand and I go sit next to her. She smiles at me and I return the gesture.

"Hi, Im Jala." She says.

"Aubree." I reply smiling.

"Oh and Ms. Smith." I look up at Mrs. Heart. "Welcome to Henry W. Grady." She smiles and I nod. So far its off to a good start. I wonder how Ray and Lexx are doing.

Alexis

I walk into the classroom and things get silent. The kids stare at me and I look down. "Hello Ms. Smith. Alexis right?" The teacher says.

"Yes sir." I reply with a smile.

"I'm Mr. Jones. Its nice to finally meet you. I've heard so much about you and your siblings. Especially you and your sister being so young and Seniors already. You're 15 right?" I nod my head and some of the class gasps. I look around and Mr. Jones smiles. "You may sit right next to Mr. Walls." My head shoots toward the class real quick and I see Josiah stand up. He smiles and I smile back. Oh lord.

"Hey Lexxii." He says as I walk towards him. He hugs me and some of the class make "oooo" noises.

"I take it you know eachother?" Mr. Jones asks to clear the suspicion.

"We met the day they moved here. Right across the street from me. She also works at my familys ice rink because she is an outstanding skater." He says as I look down blushing.

"Well thats wonderful." Mr. Jones says. "Okay now take your seats so I can kind of explain what to expect these next few weeks." We sit down and Josiah nudges me.

"What are the odds Miss Smith?" He whispers.

"I couldnt even tell you Mister Walls." I whisper back smiling. A girl sitting in front of us turns around and looks at me.

"Hey, I'm Jessica. Since Josiah wont introduce me I've decided to do it myself." She says playfully rolling her eyes at him. I giggle.

"Its nice to meet you." I say smiling at her. She reminds me of mom a little. Curly brown hair, dark brown eyes and even kinda smiles like her. Weird.

"Welcome to Henry W. Grady." Josiah says with this cheesy smile on his face. I cover my mouth to muffle my laughter. "What? Thats exactly how every teacher looks when they tell a new student that." I continue to laugh.

"Oh and Ms. Smith." Mr. Jones says looking at me. "Im sure Mr. Walls has already given you the welcome that we give to our new students," The class laughs. "But from me to you, welcome-"

"Welcome to Henry W. Grady!" Josiah joins in with Mr. Jones with that smile again and I burst out laughing along with Mr. Jones and the rest of the class.

"Thank you." I say still laughing. I think I'm gonna like it here. I wonder how the rest of the trio is doing.
