You're Not The Only One Who Can Play "The Players Game"

Its Not "Goodbye"..... Just "See You Later".....

The next morning I wake up with Jakey's soft, deep morning voice in my ear.

"Lexxii Pooh," he said lightly shaking me, "Its time to wake up baby girl." I slowly opened opened my eyes to see Jakey smiling that beautiful smile of his. "Goodmorning beautiful." he says making me smile.

"Goodmorning handsome..." I say with a small grin. I get up and stretch noticing I still have on my clothes from yesterday. "I dont even have anymore clothes...." I say sighing.

"Now Lex, you know you have jeans that you always let my sister borrow..." Jake says looking at me.

"Ohhh yeah.....but what about-"

"You can wear one of my sweatshirts" he says smiling.

"How you know I was gonna say that??" I say eyeing him.

"Im just that type of bestfriend!!" he says sitting on the bed.

"Ha! I guess so!!" I say heading to his bathroom.

"Ill get you your clothes Lexxii!!" Jacob says as I close the bathroom door and start the shower.

About 5 minutes later I get out the shower. I washed my hair too so I dried it and tied my towel around me. I walked out into Jacobs room and saw a perfect outfits on the bed for me.

"I told you I would get out your outfit..." I heard Jacob say as he walked into the room.

"Yeah....and you did a great job too J-Boogie!!" I say hugging him.

"Wow your hair smells good....and you do too..." he says smiling his famous smile. I giggle.

"Haha why thank you. Now do you mind leaving so I can get dressed?" I say pushing him towards the door.

"Aye I've already seen all of you!! Remember when we were 7 and me and Darien dared you and Bre to run around the backyard butt naked for 5 minutes?!" he says grinning widely.

"Aye!! We were 7 and we had nothing to show forreal....but now we do!!" I say pointing up and down my body. Jacob bites his lip and looks me up and down.

"You sure do mami!!"

"Ewww!! Just soo perverted!! Get out!!!" I say pushing him fully out the room and closing his door.

After 45 minutes of getting dressed....including doing my hair.....I start heading downstairs stopping in the middle of the steps to see Jacob and...and his dad sitting in the living room talking!!

"Mr.Perez?!!" I say full of excitement. He turns and looks at me and smiles. Thats where Jakey gets his wonderful smile from.

"Why hello Miss. Alexis!!" Mr.Perez says as he stands up and spreads him arms out ready for my hug. I run down the rest of the steps and run to him embracing him in the biggest hug ever and him returning it right back. I know your probably wondering why am I acting like he's my daddy. Well

1.) When I was little I spent sooo much time over here I started calling him daddy and he called me his baby girl.

2) He has been away in Iraq for 5 years and Jakey's family and I never got to talk to him except for once.

3) I love him like he's my real dad...and thats because he and my REAL dad used to be bestfriends and on my daddy's death bed he made Mr.Perez and Darien's dad promise to make sure Bre and I grow up to be the beautiful, wonderful and successful women he knows were going to be....and they promised. So now you kinda see why Im soo excited to see him.

"I missed you soo much Daddy!! We all have!!" I say releasing from our hug.

"And you dont know how much I missed all of you..." he says signaling Mrs.Perez to give him a kiss and a hug. She comes over and we all embrace in a family hug. I love being apart of the Perez family. They've always been here for me and I love and respect them for that.

"Soo baby girl, I understand that you and your family are moving tomorrow...." he says pulling me on his lap like he used to do when I was little. I sigh and look down

"Yeah.....I wish we weren't though."

"I understand. You dont want to leave your life behind and start a new one. You want to stay here with the people you know love and care about you. But just know this baby girl..." he lifts my chin up. "We will always be here for you if you ever wanna come back and visit or wanna come back for good. You know this is already like your second home and we always have space for you no matter what."

"But, I just dont want to say goodbye...." I say as my eyes fill with tears. I look around at Jacob, Mrs. and Mr. Perez and sigh. This is gonna be hard.

"But Lexxii....sweetheart..." Mrs.Perez says as she wipes my now flowing tears, then continues..."Its never going to be goodbye, just "see you later"." I smile and wipe my tears. Then Jakey gets up and hugs me tightly.

"See baby girl. There is nothing but love for you in this home and will never be anything but love..." When Mr.Perez says this I smile even harder. This family really does love me as if im their own blood.

"Thank you!" I say hugging Mr.Perez.

"Never a problem baby girl. Now why dont you and Jacob here go finish eating and then we can play our favorite game."

"Dance Party Revolution??!!" I say with excitement.

"Yep!!" he says. That game was our alltime favorite game when me and Jakey were little. It may be old by a couple of years but its a family tradition around here and I dont think its ever gonna break.

After finishing up our breakfast and playing over 20 rounds of Dance Party Revolution, it was getting dark. Signaling that it was time for me to head home and finish packing. During this time, everybody knew what was happening and the mood changed from happy and excited to sad. I walked to the door grabbing my bookbag with my dirty clothes and grabbed my hoodie from the rack and put it on.

"You can keep my sweatshirt Lex....it will remind you of me....so you dont forget me." Jakey says looking down trying to hide his tears from me.

"Ohhhh Jakey!!" I say running up and hugging him tight and he returning the hug, but tighter. "I will never forget you Jakey!! Your my other half besides Bre. You made me who I am Jakey. your the best BestFriend any girl could ever ask for....and Im glad Im that girl!!" By now tears are freely flowing down my cheeks and I hear Jacob sniffling, but we are still engaged in our hug not wanting to let eachother go.

"Lexxii Pooh, I dont want you to go!! I dont!! You're my other half literally!! You've always been there for me and you've always been my rock and I yours!!! I wish you didnt have to go!! I love you Alexis!!" Jacob says hugging me tighter by each word but I dont care.

"I love you too Jacob!!! I really do!!! And I wish that we weren't going!!" I say hugging him as tight as he's hugging me.

"Okay. Now Lexi has to get home so she can get finished packing and get a good nights rest." Says Mrs.Perez...causing me and Prince to cry harder as we seperate.

"Goodbye Mr. and Mrs. Perez." I say embracing them both in a tight hug. "I love you." I say.

"We love you too." They say in unison as they both kiss the top of my head.

"Okay baby girl. Im afraid its time to go." I turn around to face a crying Jacob. I walk up to him and give him one more hug as Mr.Perez opens the front door.

"Goodbye A-Boogie." Jacob says into my neck.

"Its not goobye J-Boogie. Its see you later" I say using Mrs. Perez's words making her smile.

"I love you." Jacob says kissing my cheek.

"I love you too." I say blushing and kissing him on his cheek. I let go of my embrace of Jakey and start to head out the door. When I get to the sidewalk I stop and turn around to face my second family one more time showing them a slight smile. "Goodbye.." I say waving.

"Goodbye sweetie. We'll miss you." Mrs.Perez says now almost on the verge of tears. Mr.Perez waves and so does Jacob. I smile and start to walk down the street. Im leaving everyone I love behind. I hope that this move is really worth it....
