You're Not The Only One Who Can Play "The Players Game"

We're Moving :(

      When I got down to the dining room I saw my big bro Raquan and Bre gobbling up all the bacon. "Dang! Yall was gone eat all the bacon before I got down here?" I say sitting down in my place next to Bre and my mom.

      "Well there is plenty more where that came from." my mom said getting up and heading to the kitchen. When she came back she had a whole new plate of bacon. Whats going on?

      "Uhhh, whats going on?" Bre asks exactly whats on my mind.

      "What are you talking about?" says our mom and Sean in unison.

      "Everytime mom cooks extra food and you two talk at the same time...somethings up. Now what is it?" I say cocking an eyebrow.

      "Well, I got a job promotion in Atlanta..." starts Sean. "And they want me down there by next Friday...so we have to leave by Tuesday so we can get settled in." he says finishing. I sat there in shock.

      "We're moving!" Bre and I say in unison. Our parents both nod their heads. "But we cant move! This is our home! Why cant you just go by yourself and we'll talk and skype and send postcards or letters or whatever?" I say standing up and raising my voice.

      "Lexxii calm down..." says Shaun.

      "How the hell can I calm down, knowing that you're making us move to a whole other state and leave all of our friends!" I say now completely yelling. "Thats just not fair!" I then leave and make my way up the steps to Bre and I's room. This is just too much. Especially if we have to move by next week! Why didnt they tell us this earlier! "Ugh!" I exclaim flopping on my bed. Then I hear the door open and I look up to see Bre.

      "Hey Lex you okay?" she asks coming to sit on my bed.

      "Why didnt they tell us earlier? Why did they wait a week before to tell us?" I say looking at her.

      "I dont know Lex. But im mad as hell too!" she says with all seriousness. "They did us wrong on this one. How do they expect us just to get up and leave our friends just like that?" she says going to the closet.

      "Where you going?" I ask sitting up straight in my bed.

      "For a walk in the park. Wanna go??" She asks.

      "Yeah..." I start "I could really use one." So I get up and me and Bre both take showers and get dressed.

Then we walk down the steps to see our parents in the family room talking. I grab my jacket and Bre grabs her and we try and open the door without them hearing but that doesnt work out to well.

      "Where are you ladies going?" our mom asks.

      "Out..." Bre and I say coldly as we walk out closing the door. As we start to walk Bre starts a conversation.

      "Soo how are you gonna tell Jacob?" Bre asks looking down at the rock she's kicking around.

      "Thats the thing..." I sigh "I dont know." I know I gotta figure out something quick because I cant just up ad move without telling my bestfriend im leaving. But how do I tell him?

      "How are you gonna tell Darien?" I ask.

      "I dont know either Lexx. All I know is that its gonna be very hard."

      "I know! How are we supposed to tell our best friends since pre-school that we're leaving them?"

      "I dont know, but we have to..." This is gonna be soo hard on the boys. We've been through everything together and its hard to believe that me and my partner-in-crime are gonna be separated and not be able to see eachother. This is gonna be the hardest good-bye ever!

      When me and Bre got to the park there were alotta kids playing on the playground and the boys were playing basketball. Me and Bre just kept walking until we heard familiar voices call our names.

      "A-Boogie!" only one person calls me that. I turn around see Jacob and Darien walking up to me and Bre. Then Bre whispers to me.

      "I think we should tell them now Lexx..." I look at her and we both nod.

      "Wassup Bre Bear!" Darien says as they both embrace us in tight hugs. I guess they noticed we didnt hug back or didnt smile or didnt say anything back to them because they both started to look at us with concern.

      "Whats wrong?" Jacob asks.

      "W-we're moving..." I say in a small whisper to where they could barely hear me.

      "What?" Darien asks confused.

      "We're moving..." I say loud enough for them to hear. They both look at us with sadness in their eyes. This is what I was afraid of...
