You're Not The Only One Who Can Play "The Players Game"

We all stood in silence for about 3 minutes until Darien broke it.

"How long have you guys known?" he asks in a whisper.

"We just found out this morning. We have to be in Atlanta by next week..." Bre says.

"How can your parents just do that!? How can they just decide to move in less than a week to a whole different state!!?" Jacob says. I know he's really mad now.

"Jacob calm down," I say as I grab his hand. "Shaun just got a job premotion down there and he said we have to leave as soon as possible."

"But A-Boogie its almost you girls' birthday. We were all supposed to chill and have fun on yall 16th." Jacob says putting his head down.

"J-Boogie, look at me." I say lifting his head up to meet my eyes. "I know....we all know that was a really special day for us. If there was anyway to change things right now we'de do it in a heartbeat. But for now we cant do anything." I say sighing.

"D Bear, are you okay?? You havent said anything..." Bre says placing her hand on Dariens arm.

"Yeah, its just that I really dont want you girls to go. We've been together for too long to just be seperated like that." These boys are killing me right now, and im sure Bre feels the same way.

"When are you guys leaving??" Jacob asks.

"We're guessing on Monday since Shauns job starts on Friday, and he probably has to do a early orientation."

"Damn! Thats in 2 days! Its gone be real wierd being in class without yall giving us somethin to laugh at." says Darien.

"Aye, can we take a walk A-Boogie??"

"Uhh sure J-Boogie....lets go." I say.

"Iight Lex, see yall lata." Darien says as he and Bre walk hand down the path heading the way of Dariens house.

As me and Jacob walk down the block I see an ice-cream truck.

"Hey you want some ice-cream Jakey??" I ask as I grab his hand.

"Yeah! But its my treat..."

"How can you make it your treat if i asked you?!!" I say.

"Easy....like this..." Then we reach the truck and he orders our ice-cream.

"Hey, can we get a cake batter ice cream cone with Reeses and caramel....and a cookie dough ice cream cone as well..."

"That'll be $5.79..." then Jakey pays for the ice cream and hands me the cake batter one.

"You know me soooo well J-Boogie!!" I say hugging him.

"Of course I do! What type of bestfriend would I be if I didnt??" "I guess a bad one huh?!" then we continue walking down the street finishing off our ice cream.

"Lexxii Pooh....you want the cherry??"

"Hmmmmm....i'll take it..." I reach for it but Jacob pulls his hand away. "What?? I thought you said I could have it??" Jacob smirked.

"You can...but I have to feed it to you..."

"Okay..."

"Now open your mouth..." I do as im told and open my mouth a little. Then Jacob puts the cherry in my mouth and I bite down pullin the cherry off the stem.

"Mmmmmmm" I say as I finish off the sweet cherry.

"Good??" Jacob says with a smirk.

"Very!" I say smiling. Then all of a sudden I feel little droplets of water hitting me. "Uh oh" Jacob and I say in unison as we notice whats happening. Its raining! "Ohhh noo!! This is not good!!! My hair can not get wet....no it can not!!"

"Haha chill Lexxii. We cant make it to your house before it starts pouring but we can make it to my house..."

"LETS GO!!" Then I grab his hand and we run to his house.

When we get to Jacobs house we make it just in time. As soon as we step into the house, it starts pouring down. "Thank God we made it here before it started pouring!!" I say taking off my wet hoodie and hanging it up to dry.

"Yeah, good timing." Jackey says.

"Mom Im home and Lexxii's with me!!" Jacob says yelling to his mom. Then I hear footsteps coming into the foyer where me and Jacob are, then his mom appears.

"Hey Mrs. Perez!" I say hugging her.

"Hello Lexxii! How are you?" she asks after kissing my cheek.

"Good." I say smiling.

"Ohh Lexxii your mom called and told me the news. You guys are moving on Monday..."

"Yeah..." I say looking down.

"We sure are gonna miss Double Trouble and Mister Basketball around here." She said referring to Bre, Raquan and I.

"Yeah....we're gonna miss you guys too.." I say smiling.

"Hey mom is it okay if Lex stays the night??" Jacob says looking at me. I never asked to stay over.

"Now Jacob, you know Lexxii is welcome in our house anytime, anyday. Dont ask me stupid questions like that!" I start to giggle a little.

"Thanks mom!!" And with that Jacob drags me up to his room and we sit on his bed.

"Soooo, what movie you wanna watch Lexxii??"

"The Lion King!!" I say jumping on the bed.

"I knew you were going to say that." he says putting it in.

"Then why'd you ask?!" I say playfully glaring at him.

"Just wanted to know if you would change your mind!"

"Ohhhhhh..." I say sitting down and gettin comfortable on the bed. Then Jacob turns off the lights and the only light left is his big screen tv's light. Jacob sits next to me on the bed and puts his arm around me and I lay my head on his chest. Then the movie starts.

About a hour later I can feel myself dozing off because I could start to notice that parts of what Simba and Nala were saying were gong in and out. Then my eyelids get heavy and I let out a huge sigh. Then I feel a cover being put over me and a kiss on my head.

"I love you Lexxii...I always will..." I hear Jacobs soft voice say....soothing me and leaving me to fall into a deep....deep sleep.
