Chapter four

3rd POV:

After the practice match against the girls team and the boys teams, Rebecca and Maxine wanted a practice game against the boys of Karasuno. They went to Coach Nekomata, to ask for the practice match. 

"What? you guys aren't tired?! Well, I guess if you want to. Then I'll allow one more match." He accepted their request, and called the boys for another match. An orange-haired boy known as Hinata Shoyo, was excited for another match, while some of their other players looked exhausted. 

The whistle that started the match blew, and the two captains shook hands. Kuroo was trying not to lose his cool, and yes Kuroo our lovely scheming captain. 

"I'm cheering for you Maxi!" Kuroo shouted across the court. Maxi turned her head, and revealed a death glare. 

"Go screw yourself." She sassed, putting Kuroo in a corner, drawing circles on the floor. 

"That was a little harsh y'know," Rebecca says from the back of the court. 

"He'll get over it." She plainly said, as she walked over to the back of the court. She would be the first one to serve, She throws the ball and does her amazing jump-float/not? serve. The libero on the other team called an out, but to their surprise it was in. 

"That's my girl~." Kuroo openly said from the bleachers. Kenma looked like he was either slowly deteriorating or was going to be sick.

"I swear Maxi, is there anything you can't do perfectly?" Rebecca said, with sparkles in her eyes.  

“Ummm, I bet I’m bad at something. Oh, like, um, poetry.” Maxine said, trying to not give herself too much credit. POE A TREE

Rebecca opened her mouth as if she had something to say, but was interrupted by the boys. The setter and their spiker started a fight, and were taken off the court. "Suga and Kinoshita, get in there!" their Coach calls to them. Rebecca looked over at Suga, and noticed he was warming his hands. 

"Omg why is that so cute?" She said under her breath. Maxi turns around slowly, with a deathly smile. 

"Oh~" she said, staring into the soul of our libero. Maxi was given the ball to serve, but stares at Rebecca while walking to the back of the court.

 "We are not done talking about this." She teased. Rebecca looked away from her, and her eyes landed on the one and only Suga. Maxi looked at the libero of the other team, as he licked his lips. She smirked and then sent the ball over to him, which he was able to receive. Unfortunately for them, it made it to the girl’s side again. Ara (the setter; her nickname) set the ball to their ace as she sent it smashing down. It was dug out by the boys’ captain, Daichi. It then made it to Suga as he set it to Tanaka. He smashed it down right in front of Rebecca, who was only staring at Suga, blushing a little. The ref signalled the point to Karasuno, as they cheered for their point they gained. 

"Wow~ that libero of yours is great at her job~" The tall blonde teased, leaving Rebecca roasted. Maxi hissed back at him,

 "You better watch who you block, mister dinosaur." 

It was Karasuno 's serve, and Daichi walked to the back of the court. His serves were less powerful then the others, so Rebecca received it easily. Maxi calls for the ball, as the setter sent it to her. She jumped to spike it down, but she couldn't see the other side.

 "Damn that blonde guy." Maxi said under her breath. She spiked it, and just barely got through. The blonde with the glasses screamed, "one touch!" Maxi then clicked her tongue in annoyance, and she was getting ready to block any ball that was sent her way. 

The first set was taken by Karasuno 25-21

It was close, but not enough. 

Coach Nekomata announced that the boys had to head back home, since it would take an hour or so for them to get back to their school. They all sighed and went to the end of the court to do their final bow. They then go to the net and shake hands with each other. Luckily the Karasuno team insisted on helping them clean up the gym. Kuroo went over to Maxi and started teasing her, as she slapped him on his (beautifully ugly) face.

Rebecca's POV:

After Me, Maxi, Kuroo and Kenma said our 'goodbyes' to Karasuno, We got onto a train. everyone looked extremely exhausted and honestly, I was too. 

"I swear Maxi is half asleep, She is just walking like a zombie." I thought, as she leaned up against me. We got onto the train, and I sat in between Maxi and Kenma. 

"Well it's about a 20 minute ride from here." I said looking at Kuroo, with Maxi and Kenma already asleep on my shoulders.

 "Lucky~" he said under his breath. I look at him, wiggling my eyebrows. 

"Do you want her? You can have her~" I said, giving him a smirk. I slowly lift Maxi's head onto Kuroo's shoulder, leaving him with a blush. 

"So you like her, huh." I said quietly, but just loud enough for him to hear me. 

“It Wasn't obvious? I feel like she’s the only one who doesn’t know.” he said with a sigh. 

"Well don't worry, I'll be here to help you out." I said, giving him a wink. 

"I'll talk about you at practices, and I will try and drop hints here and there." 

“Let’s just hope she isn’t dense enough to not get it.” he sighed once more, stroking her short hair.

"What about you and Kenma? What's going on there?" He asked, no, more like a tease. 

"Me and Kenma? I don't know, maybe? I think we are just friends, but whatever happens, happens." I said, putting my head on top of Kenma's. 

"Okay then~" he said, mimicking me.

"Kuroo has fallen hard for Maxi, but sadly she is way too dense to even know what 'feelings' are." Rebecca thought, feeling bad for Kuroo.
