Rebecca's POV:

I woke up from where I fell asleep, but felt warmth? "ehhhhhh" I stretched out, but hit somebody's face.
"K-Kenma? Is that you?" I asked, trying to focus my eyes.
"Uh, yeah." He said, with a little pink painted on his cheeks. I stood up from his lap flush red.

"S-so where are Maxi and Kuroo?" I asked.

"Oh, they are over there." He said, pointing around the tree.

"OMG they are totally on top of each other." I thought, quickly turning back around. "Ehhheheeheheheh~ so uh… when did you find me?" I asked, still blushing.

"Oh, around 30 minutes ago." He said, in his usual monotone.

"A-ah, I see. I hear them laughing, so do you want to go join them?"

He pulled out his DS, and started playing his new game.

"No, not really. Honestly, I liked how we were a few seconds ago. Besides you're still tired." He said plainly.

"O-oh, well, we can always go back to that," I said, moving back to our previous position. "my face is so hot, and the spring heat isn't helping." I thought, trying to keep my sweat off of Kenma's jacket.

"Do you want to move into the shade?" He asked, looking down at my shiny face.

"Yeah, sure~" I said, giving up on being flustered. We stood up and Maxi noticed I was awake, she called Kuroo and they both walked over to us.

"Hey, ready to go home lovebirds?" Maxi said teasingly.

"Leave the poor kids alone." Kuroo said, death gripping Maxi's head. Maxi started protesting at Kuroo, while I went to grab my stuff. Kenma ran for a second to catch up to me, so we could walk side by side.

I got my bag and threw it over my shoulders, we started walking back when I felt Kenma's hand lock with mine.

"Okay, okay we are holding hands omg omg omg okay, don't freak out, this is fine."

We met up with Kuroo and Maxi at the train, and Kenma didn't let go of my hand.

"Look at you two~" Maxi said, giving me a mischievous look.

"E-eh s-shut up!" I said, pouting at Maxi.

We got onto the train, and Kenma sat down next to me.

When the train started moving, I felt my eyes get heavy. ……………………

Maxine’s POV:

I looked over at the other side, and see Kenma letting Reba sleep on his shoulder. That was the most wholesome thing that I could have seen that day. I pull out my wallet and in there is a granola bar that I saved for later. Before I could actually open it, Tetsuro swooped it out of my hands. I look at him with a sad pout, and then turn my back towards him. I then said,

“Why take my granola bar? I was gonna eat that y’know. Don’t tell me you wanna share it like that stupid drink.”

“I just think you should wait for dinner.”

“What dinner? Also, you very well know my motto; Food before anything and anyone.”

“Even before your lovely child?” Kuroo asked.

“Kenma very well knows the importance of food for me, unlike someone here,” I said, “Plus, I have more granola bars.” I added, sticking out my tongue at him, and grabbing another granola bar.

"Y'all are bein' too loud." Rebecca said with one eye open. Her face was squished into Kenma's shoulder, and I couldn't take her seriously. I look over at Kenma who’s face looked like death, for like the first time ever. I was shocked out of my mind, he had never done that to me. Is it because he actually likes her? because if so, I will be a grandma too soon. I looked at Tetsuro who looked a little frightened, almost as frightened as me. He’s known Kenma longer than me, and wow, he was frightened. We got off the train, and said our 'goodbyes' to Kenma and Reba.

Kuroo and I walked home together in silence. I had so much fun today, even though I had to drink that stupid drink. I then spoke out,

“So that death glare, uhhhh, that was pretty scary.”

“Yeah, I don’t think I ever saw him like that,” Kuroo told me with wide eyes.

I change the subject by saying,

“Sorry about not noticing your feelings for, how many years?”

“I’d say three, but who knows?” he replied.

“I feel really bad y’know. You could have easily had a crush on a non-oblivious girl. I personally think that would have been easier.”

“Well love isn’t easy, right?” he smiled a bit, “And I think it was worth it, even though you are kinda dense.” Flicking my forehead lightly.

“Well, I’m glad that you were my knight in shining armour,” I smiled back at him.

We both walked to the apartments and said our goodbyes. As soon as I step in I see my aunt in front of me,

“So how did your date go? Let’s talk it over during dinner.”

Oh god, kill me now.
