13 - The New Deku

*Uraraka's POV*

"Uraraka, after class I would like to speak with you."

"O-ok, yes Mr. Aizawa!"

"You keep getting distracted, you're grades are slowly falling. It's only been 2 days."

"I-I know sir, I-Im sorry"

"Well we cant stay in the classroom, I promised another class they could borrow the room. Lets take a walk and you can tell me what's bothering you."

"A-are you sure? Mr. Aizawa you dont seem like the type of person to do this."

"Dont think about it, as your teacher it's my responsibility to ensure your safety. If you're depressed then that affects your safety."

Deep down I knew he was not really doing this for safety reasons, he cares. We step out of the class and soon out of the building.

"Now, tell me what's bothering you"

"I-I'm scared for Deku. I want him to be alright! Everyone was so focused on me, that gave the villains an opening to get Deku."

"Well dont think of it as you're fault. The poison? The one that recovery girl said was a warning? It must have been a diversion. Something to get us off their target. We're the ones to blame, instead of protecting all the students we chose to protect one."

"No Mr. Aizawa it's alright. You dont need to say that to make me feel better."

"No, I'm telling the truth. We did not do the right thing. We take full responsibility."

"Who's we?"

"All of UA staff."

Our conversation was cut short when we heard someone panting in the distance. Then I heard someone crying. We quickly look over to see Deku carrying Eri.

"Deku! A-are you alright? What happened!?"

We ran over there and Mr. Aizawa took Eri, who managed to stop crying, while I helped Deku walk.

"What happened? How did you escape?"

I look over him while Mr. Aizawa trys to get some awnsers. He has cuts all over him, they look fresh too. He looked tired, his face was tear stained. I wanted to cry for him at this moment.

"I-I'm fine. I was able to sneak out with Eri. Eri is unharmed, I'm glad they didn't do anything to her. Shes been through enough."

"But what about you!?" I shouted, I am worried for him. Mr Aizawa was holding Eri who was hugging him like he was about to disappear.

"I-I'm fine"

"You're obviously not! You have cuts all over you, you look like you haven't slept in weeks, your face is tear stained, you're voice is horse!"

"They tired me up and tortured me. They cut me until I couldn't scream or cry anymore. I escaped before they could kill me."

Mr. Aizawa cut in. "We need to get you to the hospital, Eri too. Then we can file a police report about everything that happened."

"C-can the police thing wait? I would rather wait for that."

Why was he dodging going to the police? Was something wrong?

"I'll see what I can do, now come on, I will drive you to the hospital."

"Can't recovery girl heal me? I dont want to go to the hospital"
