"So, how was last night?" Holland asked, turning her body to face Lexi as they drove through LA headed for the airport and Holland's flight to Calum in Indiana.

It was just after two, her classes having ended early and her flight was scheduled to leave at three. She'd completed the online check in to help her make it to the terminal on time but she knew she was still pushing it.

"It went pretty well. It was awkward at first, we're both just so used to only seeing each other for sex it took us until like, after dinner to really get the handle of just like, hanging out together." She laughed.

"But afterwards it was good?"

"Yeah..." she trailed off, her eyes sparkling with something unsaid but Holland wasn't one to pry.

Lexi pulled into the unloading space of the airport and Holland hopped out and grabbed her bags, gifting her roommate and best friend a hug before heading in to have her bags checked.

"Have fun! Be safe!" Lexi called to her and she turned around quickly to wave goodbye.

The inside of the airport was a mess but she quickly located the line for those who had done the pre-check in and waited anxiously, her foot tapping from her nerves, through the line.

Calum would be happy she was coming, right? He'd practically appeared devastated the night before and she hoped she wasn't misreading his signals. She was overthinking things and she knew it but she had a tendency to worry and she had to find a way to break that habit if she was going to make a relationship with Calum work.

She made it through security and rushed to her terminal, arriving just as her flight was boarding for coach. Her ticket was scanned and she headed for her seat, pleasantly surprised to see she had gotten a window seat and that the seat next to hers was, at least for the moment, empty.

She settled in and stretched out as the door of the plane was closed. Her hand gripping onto the arm rests until the plane had taken flight and the seatbelt light was dimmed.

Only a three hour flight and a short ride to the arena stood between her reunion with Calum and the anticipation was killing her.

The flight was smooth, she enjoyed the views from the window and her playlist played softly through her headphones lulling her to sleep.

She was awoken by the pilot speaking over the intercom. He cited their arrival location along with the time and weather as they lowered over Indianapolis.

Holland tried to brace herself but still jumped a bit as the landing gear came out and again as the plane skidded on to the runway before coming to a stop.

Everything after that seemed to take forever, taxiing in, deplaning, claiming her baggage all of it was moving too slowly to satisfy her when she was now in the same city as her boyfriend after over a month apart. It was after eight and she wanted to time it perfectly so she could be waiting for him when he got off stage.

Finally, with her bag located and her heart racing she headed for the pickup area, scanning the small crowd until she saw a driver with her name on a card.

"Hi! I'm Holland." She greeted.

"Great! Welcome to Indiana, right this way Miss Mayfield." Holland allowed him to take her suitcase and followed after him, slipping in to the back seat, the driver shutting the door behind her.

She grabbed her phone and panicked for a moment when she saw the text Calum had sent before he had gone on for his show.

I didn't know it was possible to miss someone so much. I gotta see you soon, Holls. I'll be off stage in a few hours, can we FaceTime then? Maybe a repeat of last night? Xx

She hoped he hadn't had time to dwell over her non reply before he had gone onstage but she had a feeling her ability to give him much more than a repeat of the previous nights activities would make up for her not replying to his text.

She shot a text to Crystal asking her to meet the car at the gate so that she could get in and only a few minutes later she found herself at the gate of a fenced in parking lot surrounded by the buses, trucks and trailers used for the tour.

"Hi!" Crystal squealed as she approached from inside the arena, she'd left the boys in the green room where they were waiting to go on for their collaboration with the headlining band. Michael was in on the surprise and was supposed to cover for her if anyone asked questions about where she had wandered off to.

"Hi! Oh my God I'm so excited. Do you think he knows? He texted me when he was going on and I was on the plane so I didn't get it." Holland rushed out, sliding from the car and grabbing her bag from where the driver had placed it, pulling her lower lip back with my teeth and biting down softly as she awaited her reply.

"No way, he's got no clue. He's been pouty all day."

"Aww" she said frowning.

"It's sad but kind of adorable. He really likes you, you know." Crystal mused, shooting Holland a small smile.

"I really like him too." She replied, a fierce blush overtaking her face as Crystal led her to the bus she assumed was the band's.

"Cal's bunk is number five but throw your suitcase on twelve with the others!" Crystal called back to Holland as she trudged down the small hallway while Crystal waited for her at the door.

With her things settled and a text from Michael saying the boys were going on for their song, Holland headed into the arena through the talent door, her heart attempting to beat straight out of her chest as she and Crystal headed for the side of the stage.

They made it to the wings just in time for the last notes of the song to play out, the boys waving as they ran off stage. Holland giggled as Calum plowed straight past her, oblivious to her presence.

"Damn, fly all the way out here and not even a hello?" She said with a smile and Calum's head whipped around at the sound of her voice.

"Holland?" He said, blinking rapidly like he was trying to prove to himself she was real.

"That's my name, don't wear it out." She teased as he closed the distance between them in two of his large steps, his hand finding the small of her back and pulling her flush against him, his free hand cupping her cheek as his lips met hers.

Their tongues danced together and Calum removed his hand from her cheek only to flip off the other boys as they catcalled and whistled as the pair concluded their kiss, Calum's forehead pressed against hers.

"But I thought you had practice?"

"I may have fibbed." She shrugged.

"Damn, I'm so happy to see you. How long do I get to keep you?" He said, kissing her again, completely contented by the feeling of his arms around her and unbothered by the other people he had forgotten still remained in the same space as them. She'd stolen all of his attention.

"I got the last flight out for Sunday night."

"Four whole days? Fuck, I'm feeling lucky."

An: what should they do in their time together?

Think Holland will be a 5SOS fan?

Happy times?
