Mike woke up that morning feeling better than he had in a while. Not good, but better. He decided he was finally going to talk about things with someone. He wasn't the type to share what he was feeling, but he couldn't keep walking around with all of this grief and emotion building up inside. But who with? Will? No, he wouldn't understand. Lucas? No, he would make fun of him for it later. So would Dustin. It would be weird with Nancy or his mom. And he DEFINITELY was not going to Steve. That left Max. He had never been particularly nice to her, but she would understand. She was Els best friend. But would she understand? Or would she be snarky towards Mike? He pondered over the thought of talking to Max and decided she was his only option at this point. He got out of the fort, walked over to the phone, and dialled Max's number. "Hello?" a familiar voice said. "H-hi Max, it's Mike.." he replied nervously. "Oh, hey. What's up?" she said. "Ok, I know we aren't the best of friends but can I talk to you about something? It's kind of personal." he said, with a tremble in his voice. Max noticed it. "Yeah, of course, do you want me to come over?" she asked. "Yeah, sure." he replied. Max responded with "Okay, I'll be there soon." and hung up. He tidied himself up before she came, and then sat on the couch in the basement, where he and El had spent so much time together, and waited for Max's arrival.
