"Dad?" El said and started to walk up to him. She couldn't believe her eyes, she thought her adoptive father was dead. Then again, everybody thought she was dead too. "You let me die. It's all your fault." He replied, and El was hurt by his words. How was it her fault? And then suddenly, Mike walked up to the pair. He looked at her with mean and hurt eyes."You ruined my life. I wish I never met you." Mike said, and his words stung. El was deeply confused as to why they were saying these things. "I died because you couldn't stop the mind flayer." Hopper stated. "Why would I ever love a weak girl like you?" Mike said. El was beginning to cry. They were right. It was all her fault. She looked at them both and then reached out to touch Mike's arm. Her hand went right through, and he disappeared. "Mike?" she screamed. She looked over and waved her arms through Hopper, who also disappeared. Then she realized, Kali was in her head. She turned and started to run away. She ran faster than she ever had in her entire life. She wanted to go home. But which way was home? She had no idea where she was. She just needed to get away from Kali. After what seemed like hours of running, she had to stop. She fell down in a pile of sticks and leaves, her legs giving out. She had cuts on her face from the tree branches that hit her while she was running. She had scrapes on her knees from falling. She closed her eyes and sobbed. She missed Mike, and her friends, and her dad. She wanted to go home. Her home had been that dingy room for almost 3 months. She slowly fell asleep on the forest floor, the weight of that day pulling her into a deep sleep.
