NADIA POV:

It was surprisingly dark for six in the morning. You would expect the sun to have already enveloped the moon by now. I could hear the feint chirps of birds from my cozy bed though, but knowing those beak-heads, they could be up as early as 5am. I checked the time on my phone and... OH SHIT!!! I woke up too early again! I seriously need to get that checked out. I opened the curtains to let whatever light was outside to enter my dark room and was amazed at the gorgeous appearance of Hudson walking briskly on the pathway. Hudson is the guy I've had a crush on since junior high. All I ever knew about him was that he was a little, no... very much introverted. From the looks of it, he enjoyed life like that.

He was dressed in sports gear and seemed like he was going for a jog.
His tight, blue vest revealed his muscles and his shorts were... surprisingly not as revealing. Hudson had dark brown hair and eyes as blue as sapphire. His skin was clear for a teenager and I believe that's what all the girls loved about him, of course apart from his beautiful eyes. Still looking outside, I realized that Hudson already jogged off while I was busy admiring his appearance - also another thing I need to stop doing or he'll realize. I have to get out of bed and meet my friend for breakfast.

After a quick shower, I went to my dressing table and did my usual facial routine. Aside from that, it's so hard taking care of long, black hair!
I finished packing the books I needed for today. I finished everything else and exited my room. Walking down the dim, spacious corridor, I met my close friend Gena. She's like the sister I never had, or... I think you understand.

Gena is also 17 like me but is a brunette and a bit taller than me. A bunch of boys are head over heels for her. She was crowned Junior Prom Queen last year. You would expect someone like her to be narcissistic but not at all. Gena pulled my arm and before I could realize, I was trailing her towards the cafeteria.

"So how did you sleep?" she asked.

"Oh, come on, don't act as if you don't know the answer to that question."

Gena giggled and said, "I wanted you to tell me yourself. Lighten up, will you? You'll get through this eventually. She was hinting at the fact that I keep waking up earlier than my stupid alarm.

I think most of the people in my year group can agree with me when I say that Gena is super optimistic and can easily brighten up your days. I'd be nothing without her *mentally cries*.

We continued to walking to the
cafeteria.

As we entered the cafeteria, I went to go grab two trays for Gena and I while she went to go pick a place to sit and leave our bags. It was oddly packed for 6:45am so I had to wait in line to get food.

Sounds of endless chatter shattered the atmosphere.

As I was turning around to communicate to Gena to get to where I was, Hudson and his friends entered the cafeteria. I couldn't help but notice Hudson the most, but his friends looked nice too. Hudson looked my way and gave me a smile and that smile was enough to light a fuse in my heart. He and his three other friends took a seat close to the double door and he walked and stood next to me. Towering over me, he took a tray and waited for the cafeteria lady to serve food.

"Are you gonna eat two trays worth all by yourself?" he asked me. He sounded like he was trying to make conversation when he didn't really want to.

"Oh, no no no, the other one is for my friend. She is booking us a sea-"

Gena was not where she was supposed to be. Where could she have gone now?

My eyes took a leap to the other side of the room and I could see her talking to Hudson's hot friends. Did she seriously ditch me to go hang with those stereotypical jocks?
