NADIA POV:

Since Gena just left, I had to tell the boys back in the restaurant. I approached the restaurant and entered through the side door to take an unseen detour to the bathroom.

After freshening up, I decided to face them. As I was approaching them, I was astonished at to what my eyes fell to. Krystal and her possy, the same girls that were arguing with Gene - I don't know what about, were talking to Hudson and Paul on the booth. They seemed to have been talking for a while and so once I reached them, it felt like I was intruding.

"Oh, hey..."

"Nadia." I interrupted and corrected.

"Right, um. I'm Krystal," she said with a huge grin, "and me and my friends were reminding these boys about the Welcome Back Spring Formal next weekend."

"Oh, that seems fun but I'm not really into-"

"It would be great if you'd come!" she interrupted with another huge grin. Her friends laughed with her.

I already hate her.

"Okay, I guess I'll think about it." I replied.

"Fabulous!" she said, animatedly.

Her and her crew took their leave. They all looked like they've been talking to a bunch of people all day. Those sad, stupid things. They must be tired. Anyway, now back to the situation at hand.

"What was really up with them?" I asked Hudson.

She cleared his throat. "She said something about Gena being bad for me or something, I don't know. I never really pay attention to her."

"Okay... Paul, what really happened?"

"Apart from the Spring Formal stuff, she wanted Hudson and her to run for 'Blossom King and Queen.'" he truthfully answered.

"Oh, I see. I guess that makes sense."

I took a took a seat beside Paul since he was my 'date' and I couldn't exactly go sit with someone who's not my date because that would be rude, despite liking Hudson a lot. While eating, my mind wondered off to what I saw this morning. I felt like Krystal was only talking to Gena because she knows that Gena could possibly be the only one standing between her and the title of 'Blossom Queen'. I better not dwell on that because I believe Gena can win it easily. Everyone liked her so the votes would be on her side.

The boys began making small conversation while I finished eating my food. After I finished, we started talking about a few general things like classes, sports and stuff. Paul revealed to us that he's also part of the school events committee so he's capable of giving us a little insight.

"So basically, it's pretty simple." he began. "There are usually two or three girls that run and the same for boys. It works by a good voting system that can only be accessed by the voting team - they handle votes, obviously. I believe campaigns start on Monday. Oh and judging by six months ago's Fall Formal, Forest Queen was your best friend and Forest King was the guy in our crew, Metawin. The King and Queen have to do a short traditional dance." explained Paul.

"Oh, I see." I processed. "I guess that makes sense."

"I- I think I wanna run for Blossom King." said Hudson.

"Are you sure, Huddy?" questioned Paul.

"Yeah, I think so. I just need to find a girl that could run with me."

I cleared my throat noticeably. They both turned to me, staring quizzically.

"Oh, I- Uh... I'm fine." I said nervously. That was a save, but a common one. Common enough to not drive the case away from me.
