Aliyah came out of the kitchen and went straight to the stairs that led way to their rooms.

Once she reached the top stair, she stopped.

Aslan behind her.

''Why the terrace though?''

''I'll....tell that later. For now,I want to warn you that you are coming behind me on your risk.

Also,as we pass Zayd and Zara's room make sure to walk on your tip toes and avoid sneezing, coughing or making any other funny sounds.''

''Do you think I make funny sounds...?''Aslan asked her a little offended.

''No...sorry,I didn't mean that.''Aliyah replied a little flustered.

Aslan chuckled.

''Its okay.I'll take care,you don't worry.''

Aliyah's facial expression was now replaced by a frown and she replied him with a distracted ''yeah...''

She then started going on her way again, with Aslan on her trail.

They went by Aslan's room.

After his room, they passed four more room doors and came at the end of the long circular hallway which was dimly lit with light yellow lamps.

The light casted its reflection on the wooden floor underneath and the white oak room doors, giving them an elegant and rich look.

They stopped at the second floor staircase,at the end of the passageway.

''From here on,the risk starts.''Aliyah whispered, mostly to herself.

Aslan felt as though they were little kids playing spy and completing a tough mission assigned to them.

He smiled at himself, and thought of how quickly in just a few days time he had come to trust the Khans and face so many weird things with them alongside.

Aliyah then dared to place her first step on the wooden staircase.

Despite of the novelty & quality of the place, the stairs below them creaked, being made of wood.

They slowly made their way past the staircase and hid behind a pillar at the corner of the start of the 2nd floor passageway.

''Now.''Aliyah whispered after she made sure there was no one else around.

Slowly they crept their way past Zara and Zayd's room.

Aliyah was ahead of Aslan, ready to go up the next set of stairs at the end of the 2nd floor.

Although as Aslan passed the few more rooms ahead of Zayd and Zara's he heard some whispered talking.

It wasn't safe according to Aliyah to eavesdrop, when actually they were supposed to sneak on to the terrace on the 3rd floor.

Despite of her warning,Aslan risked it and stayed back to listen...since he could swear in his mind that just a few seconds ago he had heard his name.

''No...I'm telling you...we should continue this way....and when the time comes...we'll hide him safely and go to war...I'm sure we'll make it back. After all,I had sworn to her highness that I shall fight with more valour the next time.I'm sure that we'll be able to protect him better this way--''

Zayd was speaking in a hoarse voice, which was definitely colder than how he spoke usually.

''You're wrong....and I know that even if you are doing this as per her highness's will....somewhere in your mind you are still trying to avenge them. You still haven't gotten over what they did with your family and what you did...even if it was just out of loyalty...''
