Aslan's POV

As I turned behind to see the face of the person who had patted my back, a silent gasp escaped my throat.

I was met by a pair of curious light blue eyes. Her thin perfectly trimmed dark eyebrows arched as if asking a question.

The agressive wind blowing through the white window curtains was certainly not helping.

My toussled hair were only becoming messier because of it.

As for her,her long & dark straight hair were loosely falling on her shoulders. Her small face had an elegance of its own.

Her chin was up ,showing her plush red lips clearly.

Some stray strands of her pin straight hair were falling on her rosy white cheeks. She had beautiful skin.

As if conscious under my gaze, she tucked them behind her ear.

She looked young, very young.Considerably,in her late teens.

A 19 year old maybe.

She had worn a white sweat shirt with brown long sleeves folded up to her elbows.

Below she wore a light blue skin tight jeans.

Apparently, her clothes were soaked with all the rain from outside. She must have come from somewhere just now.

Also her smooth shiny black hair were a bit damp.

She cleared her throat suddenly bringing back my attention.

Her already blue eyes were shining like electric lights in the dark.

They were searching my face.Observing me.

I spoke then, breaking the awkward silence between us.

I did'nt want to waste much of her time.

As it is,her clothes were drenched wet & also I thought it to be quite inappropriate talking to a young girl so late at night.

''Aslan Geller. Nice to meet you.'' I said.

''I know its a little weird introducing myself in the dead of the night..''I continued and waited for her to speak something.

When she said nothing,I continued again.

''I am Khan's colleague.We work together.You are a relative,I assume.''

Still no reply.

She was simply standing like a statue with one hand on the staircase railing.

Her eyes and face held a serious expression.Mostly blank but attentive.

That told me,she had listened to every single word I spoke.

But had spoken nothing.

Her silence was starting to get on my nerves.

Then I turned my back to her and started going on my way again.I did'nt want to waste any time now.

My sleep deprived brain needed some rest.

While climbing the stairs I gave her one last glance saying,''See you in the morning then.''

Still with the lack of her response she stood there looking at me.Studying me.I sighed inwardly.

But as I reached the last stair she spoke in her feminine but bold voice.

Suprisingly.

She spoke. And here I thought she was dumb.
